This clock is expensive, but we have zero regrets. The wood looks beautiful, the movement is silky smooth, and we love having the moon phase. My son is on the spectrum, so being aware of when full moons are happening is very helpful.

I am a watch-lover who has always appreciated a moonphase complication, so I went looking for a wall clock with a moonphase complication. There is exactly one such clock on all of Amazon, and this is it. The clock works and looks exactly as advertised and expected. One AA battery in the back, with a small dial to set the time; moonphase is a different dial, but all very easy to set. Time is as per normal; for the moonphase, look up the date of the last full moon, and advance the moon dial to full. Then for each day that has passed since the full moon, rotate the moonphase dial one position ahead until you arrive at today’s date. Same way you set a watch’s moonphase in other words. I have had it cycle once fully, no issues. Moonphase needs to be reset every 2 years, but after 2 years, you’d probably need to adjust the time as well, so no extra maintenance. Dial is attractive and moonphase is very nice—the moon is sort of reflective/glows, which is a nice touch. Only complaints: no reason adding a moonphase disc should increase the price of a wall clock from $18 to $89, but for $89, it is a nice clock; and also the hands are a little thin to read from a distance, especially against the dark blue of moonphase as opposed to white of the clock face. If you are here, it’s probably because you want a moonphase wall clock; this is indeed a fine moonphase wall clock, and it’s the only one on Amazon, so buy with ease.

Clock does not maintain the correct time and will be off by an hour within a week. Changed batteries, tried following troubleshooting shooting steps, no luck, so now I’m just out $90 for a pretty looking piece of crap. If it kept time, it would be great, but I do not recommend you waste your money on this.

I bought this clock to replace a 30+ year old moon phase clock that I liked very much. This clock is beautiful and silent.It's not as well constructed as the old clock with its solid oak frame. It has straight glass, not curved like the old one either. These sound like complaints, but it also means it's not as heavy (nice when you are lifting it over your head to hang it on the wall) and I'm not worried about glass I'm not going to find a replacement for should it get broken.The color of it is also an upgrade, like the red oak better than the yellowish oak that was fashionable in it's time and dated now.If it's slow to keep time even though you put a new battery in it, it may be the battery is defective. The same happened to me. I never got a bad battery before, not from Duracells that I didn't get from a discount store. I put in a fresh battery from the same pack and now it works as it should.

Nice quality real oak wood plus "old fashion" clock look of years long gone! My only issue is the moon dial was not easy to set, will take you some time to adjust same -- at least it did for me!? Still, not a deal breaker at all!

Attractive and functional, I like this clock quite a bit. I did have to push harder than I thought would be good for a clock in order to move the moon phase when setting it but that seems to just be how it is. My only note is that due to the moon phase display it can be hard to see the hour hand (depending on room lighting) when it's over it - silver hands or some sort of accent on the hand would help there. But not a big deal.

It is a very nice clock and is well made.The only issue is the battery only lasts about a month.

We are moon people and really like to know the moon phase and these are hard to find. I really like the look and the fact you cannot hear any ticking. It's been pretty accurate so no issues. There is no reason not to get this clock if your looking for a moon phase clock.
