You could install this in a lot of vehicles with limited space. I have this connected to a Kenwood stereo that allows adjusting frequencies to the other speakers which allows the sub to do the lows and frees up the other speakers to handle the rest. Great system.

I chose it because it offered an amplified subwoofer in a compact package, which would make for a simpler installation. The unit has a cast metal case, looks nice, and is very heavy. It was too large to mount under the Bug's front or rear seats, so I mounted it vertically on the inside of the rear firewall, behind the back of the rear seat. I have a very inexpensive head unit, made by Dual (My car is a convertible, so if someone is going to steal the stereo they are not going to get much!), and two good quality 6 1/2" speakers in the doors. The speakers produce nice sound quality, but they don't offer much in the way of bass. The Blaupunkt subwoofer now gives me nice bass while taking a lot of load off the speakers. My modest system sounds much better. It is not going to win any stereo output contests, but it is just fine for cruising around with the top down.

**Q: Has anyone used the hi level inputs on this, negating the need for an in line converter.**
A: Yes, fed off of speaker wires directly to the unit.

**Q: Are you sure this is a 10" speaker?  I see it listed on other sites saying it's a 8".  Same model number.**
A: No, it is an 8". The literature was misleading. They also make an older 8" that puts out less power. 100rms ? I have it in another vehicle. It sounds good. It won't shake the mirror. The older one has been in the other car for over 9 years, no problems. Adds bottom not a shaker. I like music tight not muddy. They both have done the job. Sorry about any confusion. I was going by the description.

**Q: What is the RMS power of this subwoofer?**
A: 120 RMS 200 MAX. Good to add some bottom. Not going to shake windows. Pretty clean.  Works if space is a issue. Had to put in hatch on my GTI. Wouldn't fit under the seat. I have the older version in my Mazda, it doesn't have as many watts but sounds good. I've had the old one in for five years, no problems. Not a boomer just a low end filler.

**Q: What’s the frequency response?**
A: 50-150Hz is the crossover frequency dial range, not the frequency response, which is not specified in the ad.

Great price for a great sound. It was a perfect fit under my Chevy truck seat. You could install this in a lot of vehicles with limited space. Pros; Fits perfectly in the recess under the back seat of the extended cab 2500 HD. While you won't win a bass competiton it outputs sound to the degree that I hear things in the music that i've not heard before. If you crank it up, it is enough to get the attention of cars next to you at the stop light and probably wake the neighbors when you drive home late at night. Sound clarity, compact, price point, excellent and its Blaupunkt. Cons; Can't think of any!
