Not quiet
I bought this fan to replace the stock fan on my CPU cooler, because I couldn't stand the whining noise anymore. Unfortunately, this one here, even though I had read that Yate Loon are very quiet for their money, was even worse than the stock fan; it emits a somewhat grinding noise. I guess if you're not after a silent PC, this fan is alright, but for me it was useless and I shelled out the money for the normally recommended Nexus Real Silent 120mm fan, which I should have done right away.

Horse face says....
Dont let the cost fool you-this is a well made fan. It puts out air, silent, and of course is reasonable in cost. While I use flex and typhoons in my case as primarys, I do use one of these for exaust and two for bottom exaust in my case-my case has 10 fans and I could not afford 10 flex and typhoons, so I bought a few of these. On several tech sites-they were extremely high rated and so I took a chance-glad I did-no long face here and five foot stomps! However, you could do so much better ordering the effective but not to loud Panaflow fans that have huge air flow at the same price almost. while Genle typhoons and Flex fans are great, if you just need a power fan for rear exaust-go with the louder Panaflow-I did the yates for my hearing is accute. Delta for the deaf is the best for exaust though. I did the NZXT leds for the front of the case and they are pretty decent in flow and nice color in green.

Hit and miss
Really quiet, but the bearings died really early, so whenever I turned on the PC it started rattling. It was a good cooler until then, but it would be a smarter idea to get a corair or something like that.

Can't beat the price. Nice and quiet.

Great fans, but used
These fans came with some adhesive stuck to them, indicating that they may have been ripped out of a previous installation. They still work fine, however. They move a decent amount of air and are very quiet, even at full voltage.

Strong, reliable, but noisy fans
I purchased these Yate Loons for my first build back in '06, and all three fans installed in that system are still running just fine. Great airflow, no problems in 7 years. Many fans with higher CFM ratings aren't as strong as these fans. They come with both 3-pin and molex connectors, which some fans three times the price do not have. (However, you cannot remove the molex connectors, unless if you cut the wires yourself.) These are not quiet fans. The '06 build is in a case without any noise management and I find it to be annoyingly loud - so it's now my movies/video machine, where the noise does not bother me. I recently purchased a new 120mm D12SL-12 and 140mm D14SL-12 and installed both into my Corsair 550D, which I use for work. There, the very noticeable uptick of noise wasn't worth it. I like things to be quiet when I'm banging away. I've removed the 140mm and may remove the 120mm later. These are excellent and extremely reliable fans. I must dock them a star because of the noise, but if you spend your time playing games or listening to music, you probably won't notice.

FANS!
Performance > noise any way, wear a headset. These move a lot of air through my 480 Radiator and work as intended. Quality fans on the cheap!

Quiet
I was a bit hesitant to get this because it seemed a lot cheaper then other's i was researching. I've been using it for about a month now though and it's worked perfectly and quietly. I leave my computer on 24/7 so time will tell if this fan will hold up long.
