It lathers really well & it does not require a lot of shampoo to get a lot of lather. It left my dog's hair very soft. I did not notice a really strong scent which was fine to me. I don't want my dog to smell like a flower after I bathe him. He has really bad flea allergies. I had to bathe him because a flea bit him & it started an allergic response. He was itching & scratching something terrible before I bathed him. His skin was bright pink & very irritated. It seemed to really soothe his skin. His skin was not as red & irritated after his bath.
