Are these 608z or 608zz? it states both on the listing.

These are sealed on both sides with a 608z stamped seal. 2 seals = 608zz. 1 seal = 608z

are these water tight to prevent liquids passing through them. I could you for repairing bearing on blender blades.

These are not water proof. Just pulled one out of a outdoor spinner. Been in the yard 1 year and I would oil it. Still got to the point the wind would not spin the outdoor spinner.

What does "Z" mean? I need one with an "S".

Hello! "Z" stands for metal cover, mainly used in dry and dusty environment, "S" belongs to rubber sealing ring, mainly used to prevent water steam or water droplets splashing into. If you need the "S", please buy the 608-2RS model. I hope my answer is helpful to you. Thank you.
