Swarovski CL Companion 8x30 (Green) Urban Jungle

Overall performance has expected. The strap pins do not "click" as they should when assembling. The strap perhaps too short for crossbody bag.

This is a terrific set of optics, with extraordinary viewing quality. Unfortunately, the strap attachment is incompatible with my bino harness. I looked for ways to adapt it but could not readily find a way to do. Too bad Swaro didn't include a simple adaptor to make these binos compatible with other harnesses.

Best of the best in 8x30 and beyond! First let me get this off my chest, to the folks giving these one star because of a strap and case mixup is just plain ludicrous. Sure, perhaps there was a screw up on the case and strap combo, there are several to choose from, but to disregard the main purpose of the purchase and give one star is shameful. I have Zeiss 7x42 victory *t , Macon 8x30, Leica, and some very nice 8x42 hawke frontier ED X for direct comparison to these Swaro Cl 8x30. The swaro is the one I reach for. The are built like tanks, the glass is STELLAR!, everything is precision. The only gripe I have is the diopter is a bit awkward in its function but if you don’t share your binos. ( I don’t) then it is a one and done setting. I got the Anthricite 8x30, with the grey flap case in my opinion the best case, quick access and very handsome. Don’t listen to the cry babies who can’t deal with a little shipping error, buy these you won’t go back

Back in the early 90's I purchased a pair of Swarovski 8x30 binoculars.... Several years ago they got knocked off a table and landed on a basket of firewood logs...the only damage sustained was a broken metal strap loop on one of the barrels.... When I eventually got around to contacting Swarovski, they said I should send them in for an evaluation. Apparently, there was no repair solution. I received a brand new pair along with a new strap and case....free of Charge. A fluke ? ...or just a great company....take your pick.

Excellent update of Swarovski’s “budget” model. Better glass, better ergonomics, better everything than the old CL. I think they’re fantastic for the price, and of course they have the legendary Swarovski lifetime service! The above reviewer must not have looked carefully enough, they include a clip strap attachment in the box, for use with harness-style or other straps, if you don’t want to use the included non-tangle strap. Or you can purchase separately for $5 (it’s called the “strap loop connector”). Seems like they thought of everything to me.

I have been borrowing this pair of binoculars from a friend for a few major trips and I finally took the plunge and bought my own. I love their size, their feel, the brightness, the bulletproofness. Contrary to one of the reviews, I think the new strap attachment is a big improvement. These binoculars will make a birdwatcher out of a completely bird-indifferent person. Five stars!
