I have to say, I was a bit surprised by the sound quality of the Saiyin center channel, mainly due to the diminutive 3.5" drivers. The larger than I expected ported enclosure surely helps the speaker provide a more full sound. That being said, while it is good for spoken dialog and produces a nice warm (not overly bright and tinny) sound profile, don't expect much beyond upper mid-bass to be reproduced. Couple that with the speaker's (appropriate) lower power handling of only 60W and you'll likely want to pair this with some like-sized bookshelf speakers and a smaller powered 6.5" to 8" (ok, maybe 10" too) subwoofer. Any larger of a sub you'll likely have a gap in the upper bass frequencies. While I do like the overall look of the speaker and it's finish, the enclosure is fairly light, seemingly lacking any internal sound deadening or bracing.For a starter home theater, this is a decent building block, especially for the money. It is certainly a better start than most soundbars.
