As good as you will get with this version
This was filmed 1997 in a theatre using standard definition cameras. It was a real stretch to get this up to Blu-ray definition and it shows, which is why I took one point off. It is incomprehensible to me why they took such a cheap option in the filming. But it is an improvement over the original DVD that I had so worth having. This version of Cats is most enjoyable to watch otherwise.

The Defnitative Version of Cats
In my opinion, this version is the definitive version of Cats, Elaine Paige as Grizabella, blows me away with her song. along with the rest of the cast, Mr. Mistoffelees, Munkustrap and Bombalurina. Don't spend your money an any other rendition, this is the BEST, BAR NONE.

The best way to watch the 1998 Cats film.
This is absolutely the best way to watch the '98 Cats film. It's better quality than all of the DVDs and streaming services that this film is available on. It's still only in standard definition, but it has a clearer picture and audio quality than any other source as well as subtitles available in dozens of languages. The full Making of Cats behind the scenes documentary is available in the extras as well as a makeup application featurette and interviews with the production team.

Good purchase
This is a great musical and costume and makeup were just wonderful. Would give the whole 5 stars alone for that but, this being a blue ray I expected better quality picture. Dont get me wrong it's not bad but in certain scenes you see the spot light get grainy. But once you start getting into the show its easily ignorable. Overall a good purchase.

AWESOME movie!
This was a VERY good purchase. I had seen bits and pieces of this on YouTube for a LONG time and had wondered what happened to Old Deuteronomy. FINALLY, I saw it here on Amazon and put it on my wish list. When my friend visited, and brought his loaded card, I decided I WANT THIS MOVIE! THANK YOU!

Is this a bootleg?
I think it might be e a bootleg. If its not a bootleg, it was very poorly put together.I was replacing a disk that was broken. The label wasn't the same as the original one. The menu was different. It looks like a European region 2 disc ripped to a region 1 disc. Some of the labelling was French and there was the option to turn on captions in over a dozen languages. We watched it. At the end, the credits portion where they show every dancer and their name, it cut off the bottom quarter of the screen. I don't think this blu-ray is legit.
