Incredible!
These are incredible earbuds! The sound quality is exactly what I would expect from a company known for producing audiophile-grade products. No coloration that I can make out, and I'm able to hear details in music that can get buried when listening on something intended for the average consumer. The adaptive environment features are great, too. I like that you have the option to enable noise cancellation to drown out everything around you so all you have left is what's playing back into your ears, or you can enable transparency mode which picks up the outside through its microphones so you can hold conversations while still listening to music, a podcast, or what have you. The only issue I've experienced so far, which I won't remove any stars for because I don't believe the product was intended for this, was that when I was playing along to music on my drum set in noise cancellation mode, the microphones would pick up my drums during quieter sections of music and distort the audio until the music got louder again. I was able to work around this by switching to the normal mode. Battery life seems good on my first day I've used them for extended periods, but my right bud seems to be to drain 2% faster than the left. I'm going to keep monitoring this to see if it has something to do with charging, but it's not currently complicating anything. Fit-wise, they're great! I'm using the small premium buds and I haven't had any issues with them coming out of my ears as other reviewers have mentioned. For the price-point, I'm very impressed with these buds and would highly recommend them to anyone that appreciates fidelity in their music.

True HIFI sound
Let me start by saying, WOW! I am a huge audiophile and want my music to be crystal clear with great soundstaging. These do not disappoint. I have owned some major brand earbuds in the past and these are much cheaper in price with twice the sound quality. I have owned 2 pairs of Sennheiser, total, JBL, and Sony. These are the most balanced and clear sound I have heard from an earbud. These hang right in there with my over the ear Audio Technica studio headphones. These fit great in the ear, connectivity was simple, definitely made well and even come fully charged. We'll worth the cost on so many levels. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

A purchase I’ve come to regret
I have owned Cambridge Audio Melomania 1 and 1+ earbuds. Both were easy to use, comfortable enough to wear, had excellent battery life, and most importantly delivered clear and balanced sound. Alas, both reached a point where they would no longer hold a charge and needed to be replaced. I went straight for the M100 earbuds from Cambridge. Right out of the box, the easily connected to my tablet and phone via bluetooth. The sound is ‘audiophile quality.’ Sadly, the positives end there. The ‘Melomania Connect’ app has been a nightmare. It refused to find my earbuds, which meant I had no control over such things as noise cancelling, equalization, updating firmware. It took countless attempts to install and uninstall, restore factory defaults and so on before I was finally able to get the app on my phone to find the earbuds. [My tablet never did]. The app prompted me to update the firmware; so I did. Having done the update, the earbuds now lose the bluetooth connection to my devices at random… sometimes I can get no more than 15 or 20 seconds of audio before the source freezes up. Given that, these have become useless. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. I can’t possibly recommend the M100 model. Reading the reviews here, it’s evident these earbuds work for many users… but many others wind up like me with about $175 worth of useless electronics on their hands and in search of a better option.

This could be it!
I have tried SOOOOO many different earbuds. I have almost given up. My pixel buds worked the best with my Google phones. I love music but have to also have earbuds that work...you know, take calls where the other individual can actually understand me, do teams for work, and actually sound good when playing music. A bonus was to switch seamlessly from my phone to surface without missing a beat. My pixel buds work...they just do not sound that great with music ...not bad just not great. I have tried all the usual suspects and just about given up..until I saw these. Knowing Cambridge from years ago I said ...let's try. I am Absolutely so happy I did. Music sounds rich and detailed. Bass is good, not overpowering but tight and punchy. Highs were detailed but not overly bright. Very happy with sound. Connectivity was good not great. Few hiccups but pixel 8pro synced right up. Had a few drop outs but forgot I was in developer mode in my phone and turned off a few features....much much more stable. My surface synched up without an issue. And switched from phone and back to PC.. again...not perfect but not bad either. Now phone calls. Mics are on the bottom of the buds....didn't realize that. If you line them up correctly....calls are crystal clear. Even in high wind and NYC midtown traffic. At first I buried the mic in my ear not realizing how they face and no one heard anything ....once I realized why, all good......solid 8of 10 product that shows ld; improve with updates. I'm keeping them.

Potentially great product with some serious glitches.
M100 earbuds ticked off a lot of items on my list. Let's start with the great: comfort is excellent. I've worn these during a 2 hour bike ride, and a 3 hour workout. I could have kept them in all day. The weight of the earbuds seems to tip them into the ear canal, a good thing. I've had a few "popouts", but I'm willing to work with the various sizes and materials of earpiece Cambridge included to solve this. Pairing was fast and easy. The case has strong magnets which pull the earbuds into position for charging. There is no way you will miss the charging ports, the click is firm and the magnets strong. Maybe a little too strong; they're a bit difficult to remove from the case. Note to Cambridge: on your next re-engineer of the case, put a small divot there to aid a finger in scooping them out. Nothing so far to remove a star, but wait: There is a serious and consistent glitch after a phone call: the earbuds go on/off/on/off. The only way to stop this is to reset bluetooth. For those of you who hope to use this as a business tool, or if you're on the phone a lot, this is going to be a non-starter for you. I'm surprised Cambridge let these out the door with such a serious problem for a potentially huge market segment. I got a quick response from Product Support, but it was ineffective: reset the earbuds. No. That's not going to work and did not. These earbuds have upgradeable firmware, which gives me hope Cambridge will be able to fix this with a software solution. And while they're at it, I'm hoping they can direct more voltage to the ANC, because it's weak (and I have the feature on high). I was hoping these would cancel the unbelievably high volume (and obnoxious) music they play at my gym. It helps a little, but I can still clearly hear this noise. Again, maybe a firmware update can juice the feature - it would go a long way to making this a great product. The accompanying app has a few eq settings, and room for more, so you can customize the sound. The app also allows some customization of the features. Final glitch, but only happened one day: ANC kept shutting off. Don't know what this is but I'm hoping it's not a frequent reset. ANC is easily reset with the intuitive touch controls on the buds, but sill... why? I'm down about 10% per hour with the power and full ANC, so figure about 10 hours per charge (your mileage may vary). But I just pop them in the case and they charge quickly, though I haven't taken any measurements on this. Cambridge, you're so close. I'm going to come back to this review after a new firmware upgrade (I've already got the latest thanks to good directions right on the case: QR code marked Start Here.) Let's hope they read reviews and can correct the glitches. I'm not going to send these back, as they fulfill many of my requirements, but I'm hoping for better from Cambridge which seems to have its engineering act (almost) very together.

Phenomenal sounding earbuds ~ Better than those costing twice the price
Due to lousy battery life: I exchanged my Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX earbuds for these. Right out of the box, the Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 Earbuds sound phenomenal. When I selected the Rock preset button; I was blown away with their performance. They sound better than the B & O's, at nearly half the price. In addition; I can listen to them all day long, without worrying about the battery running out of juice. With noise cancelling turned on; I’m getting an astounding 11 hours of play time, an hour longer than advertised. That’s simply unheard of. Having owned dozens of high end earbuds over the years; I'm pleased to report that the Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 Earbuds sound as good as or better than all of the others, regardless of price. These earbuds are absolutely amazing. I recommend using the included foam tips for the best overall sound. I've posted a photo of the custom equalizer setting that I've used for even more bass.

Won't stay un-muted during a voice call ...
I'm into music that is heavy on the bass. I mean HEAVY. I love trap, industrial, aggrotech, etc. I decided to try these because they use the Qualcomm aptx codec, which, so far as I know, is the only codec that faithfully reproduces bass. So, I got the earbuds, opened 'em up, and looked them over. They certainly looked nice! So, do they sound as good as the look? Let's find out. I ran some phonk, trap, house, and aggrotech through them, and they sounded awesome! Hmmm, what's this noise cancellation about ... is it any good? Compared to my Skull Candy Hesh 3 ANC over-ear headset, these earbuds were adequate. Oh, hey, mom's calling! Let's see how they do on phone calls. They "didn't." No mater what I did, mom couldn't hear me. Well, not for more than two syllables. And no, I didn't keep fingers hovering anywhere near the earbuds. I broke out the instructions again (yep, RTFM), followed them precisely while mom was on speaker. The simply would NOT put my voice through. Heard mom perfectly, but she could catch about two syllables from me, then silence, then two more syllables, rinse repeat. Honestly, I hate the fit. I tried all the caps, the cheap ones and ones that looked like soft licorice. The earbuds would NOT stay in my ears. It gets annoying when your having to constantly fish them out of the engine bay, or up out from under the vehicle while you're wearing almost a pint of oil from changing the oil, but your now swapping in a new starter, then you need to go adjust the alternator, having to fish one or both earbuds from on top of the intake manifold. So, for me, the fit is terrible. To recap: PROs: They look good, sound great while they're in your ears. CONs: They can't or just don't stay un-muted while you're trying to make or take a call. They seem to constantly be in a state of identity crisis. They don't stay in my ears. The touch controls are twitchy at best. The only reason I gave them two stars instead of one is because they sound so good. I may have, and probably did, purely by luck of the draw, get a BAD set. There are going to be those when mass production enters into the equation. Buyer beware!!!

A leap in earbud technology
I have been an audio enthusiast for the last 30 years and this product is a clear leap in technology, especially for the price. Large drivers, class AB amplification, a wide soundstage, and details galore. Crisp and clear notes leap out into the outmost corners of the ether. Never harsh but always revealing. There is a holographic quality to the sound signature, however, Sennheiser's MTW4 are certainly better in this regard. Sennheiser's offering has exceptional tuning. One could prefer a BMW but a Genesis is still very luxurious. These buds are vented, so there is a ported subwoofer effect when a deep bass note hits. The bass never bleeds into the mids and is amazingly satisfying simply because it doesn't mimic a sealed subwoofer. Deep and wonderfully impactful. I would be surprised if you do not like how these earbuds sound. Truly a portable club experience with a remarkable battery life to boot.

Perfect price/performance ratio + Toast
Upgraded from 3 yr old Anker buds that were about £30. Paid £100 for these. Very impressed. App works fine, Bluetooth connectivity to Samsung S23 Ultra works fine - connects straight away once out of case. Sound is fantastic for music and calls. App functions are great and battery levels for both buds and case are shown. Used the equaliser to create a custom one and saved it, works great and stays selected. Noise reduction and transparency all good enough for me - using in a noisy office for music on Spotify, and at home when doing chores so I can hear kids moaning at me. Also take calls at home on them, mics seem to work well according to my brother. Being able to switch between these with one tap on the left bud is very useful. Battery life seems great but it's early days for me. Sound quality is brilliant, I use with Spotify lossless. Buds are comfy and don't fly out of my ears, and come with a few size options you can switch out. No complaints at all, and having Toast as the voice makes me smile every time I start using them.

Cambridge Audio impressionne
