Il Postino

what I love it about this great film is the way capture the atmosphere on the story: Italy, the Argentinian Tango, love, literature, politics, etc. Is like we would like to be right there sharing the plot with them and be in the movie. In my opinion Is a classic on their own merit. and very romantic film that leave you filling good inside yourself. wont be disappointed and you would enjoy watching this film again, again, and again.......

This movie has subtitles. It has a beautiful setting It is well acted. The story is heart warming and engaging. We have watched it many times. One to keep.

Sub titled - interesting look at post war Italy - add the power of poetry and you have an unusual movie well worth a look. It is available on Amazon Prime.

Good film, Quick delivery

Gentle comedy .

this is such a recognised and highly rated movie that I think having a physical copy (rather than rely on a digital stream) is warranted. I love it. it brings me back to a fabulous era of movie making that sadly we will never see again

You need this romantic, emotional, clever and sad film in your life. Don't be put off by the fact that you'll need to read the subtitles as this won't detract from your viewing. It's not an overly complex story but it is life affirming and will make you want to visit the Aeolian Islands of Italy where it is set. I've not said much about the film for fear of ruining the story but it is very much a tale of romance and of friendship. It'll leave you with a lump in your throat but you'll also feel fulfilled.

Pleasant story and moving acting; needs to be watched in Italian as it gets more emotional. a real mix of smiles and sadness. The scenery is beautiful although I did not recognise the Procida island very much.

A good film. Watched it often.

DVD played fine on my SONY DVD player in USA. My Samsung TV, like many newer TVs, up-scales the image to 2K (some TVs up-scale a DVD to 4K). Additionally, the DVD was widescreen, and the audio was good quality. The Subtitles were in ENGLISH and were yellow; much easier to read than the white subtitles on many DVDs. Other reviewers talk about the story, etc. Yes, it is a nice story. Well made movie. Beautiful shooting locations in Italy.
