In order for this to work you need to prop up the burner. The burner is not made to be propped up like in their picture of this. The instructions are vague to say the least.This is a bad design and someone could easily start a fire by propping up the burner.

First, I’d like to say the glassware is well made. However, the instructions for assembly are vague and it doesn’t fit together like the photo. The description says for essential oils but it does not have a place to boil the water. The heat plate also doesn’t reach. There is no box like shown in the photo. Even if I did put something together so it would reach, the heat plate would hit the metal rod and not reach. It seems to have some fit issues. I’ve tried to do as much research as possible and have spent a lot of time trying to put it together the right way but I have given up and am returning the glassware which is a shame. The tubing also doesn’t fit and when I did get it to barely hold on, I was too worried it would pop off. Maybe I didn’t do it right but I really did try. I would recommend really doing your research first to find the best product for your project rather than going by descriptions which is partially my fault.

The media could not be loaded. 1:the hotplate is a scam. the cord length is laughable, and start smoking at half its heat (along with heating up the whole unit rather then just the plate.2.the tubing doesn't fit3. general bad quality. glass looks like it was cut with scissors, Vaseline can be found by the molecule, stand pieces use weird quark.tldrheat plate is not perk but scamtubing=useless= trashoverall low qualityto be honest i would might of rated it higher but 4 starts is VERY wrong. also make sure you dont buy a copy of this listing and when you do read the comments

I received this as a gift. The instructions on how to assemble were useless. The pictures were black and white and not clear. The hot plate surface is way bigger than the glass flask so there would be a lot of heat loss. Plus the hot plate would have to be propped up to even reach the flask. Problem is the metal ring that holds the flask keeps it from contacting the hot plate. Also, there is no flask for boiling water to create steam for the plant material flask. So the set up won't work for essential oil distillation. It came with flexible tubing, but there is no mention of needing a pump to move cold water through the condenser to make the system work. Save your money and buy a quality set.

The red clamps are not fitting, poor stability of the setup frame.
