I had one of these like 20 years ago that worked fairly well, but it broke a long time ago. I bought another one off of amazon maybe 7 yrs ago and it was so painful to use, it just didn't work right. I was reluctant to try another, but knowing I used to have a good one and my chiropractor has a good one, I knew it was a matter of trying them and reading reviews to find a good one. THIS IS IT!!! I'm in LOVE with the way this one works and the features that it offers!!! I have mostly only used it on #1 because it's good enough to stimulate without over doing it. I tried bumping it up to 4 once, but it seemed to feel better on #1 or #2, so I went back down. It works well, offers pain relief, and I believe this unit is a Wonderful Value for the money when it makes me feel better!! I love the different settings, and what's amazing to me is that it actually feels just like the descriptions... it's like there's a massage therapist actually doing those things!! I don't know how they program electric-stim with that type of feeing, but it's just WONDERFUL!! If you want a good machine at a decent price, this is it! I can't speak for longevity yet; but so far, it's held the charge and I've used it several times on that charge, so it's good enough for me! I hope it keeps working for a long, LONG time into the future!!

Works really well. I am glad I got extra pads as the pads can get less sticky if you use the a lot. Although had a friend tell me if you put the plastic sheet cover back on the pad after use and set aside for while, the stickiness will come back...I guess it regenerate. It works well as a messager, muscle stimulator and it is pretty easy to maneuver once you get the hang of it. It is durable and has great battery life, and relieves the pain and breaks up muscle cramps.

Bought this right after my wife had rotator cuff surgery to use during the recovery period. I am a physician and know that not only does a tens unit help with subjective pain relief, but also increases blood flow that promotes healing of soft tissues, especially tendon as happens in orthopedic surgeries. For some reason, physical therapists do not suggest this for the recovery. Although I feel it is essential and very helpful, especially when trying to stay off narcotic medication's.

difficult to use

This unit is more than I expected!! I purchased this to replace a model that I already owned of a different brand. The older unit was a wheel dial and was showing wear and tear. I was interested in this unit because it offered TENS, EMS, and Massage. I have used all three features. This unit is easy to use, has a bright LED screen, and the two independent leads is great for targeting areas like the neck/shoulder and wrists for neuropathy that I have been experiencing. My mother was suffering from neck pain and shoulder tightness after a hospital stay recently and after an anti-inflammatory, and an RX pain pill, she was still in moderate pain. I placed some larger pads that I purchased on her upper shoulders and smaller round pads un the base of her neck, chose the Massage feature on the Combo setting and within minutes her pain was easing off and 15 mins later she was asleep. I also love the fact that you can set the time up to 90 minutes. The unit is smaller than expected and the leads have a long cord. The unit can be paused, and also locked so you don’t have to worry about the settings changing, even in a pocket. I purchased a 48-piece replacement pad of another brand and they work perfectly. For what I received, I would have thought it would have costed much more—excellent value for the price. Easily wipes off and comes with a small pouch for storing. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a TENS/EMS/Massage unit.

Love it, it is easy to figure out and use as a beginner. I'm using ems on my leg and massage mode on my foot for lymphedema. I tried the tens mode once for a headache but it hurt on level 1, I'm guessing I didn't place the pads correctly though.

I bought one many years ago and compared to the original one I have this one feels like a professional grade muscle stimulator. I am tempted to buy a second one just in case they stop selling this one. The battery life is very good and it charges pretty fast. The one thing I like about it is there are 40 levels and I could only handle up to 26. The other brand I bought only has 10 levels and it is still too weak. This also comes with different pad sizes and up to 90 minutes of continuous stimulation. Worth every penny.

This is a really good unit with loads of different settings, got it for the wife to use on her ankle and she is very positive about it's use and thinks it's doing her good, so worth every cent. East to use as well, great quality, lightening fast delivery as usual from Amazon.
