If you are looking at this BenQ monitor and wondering whether 24 inches, 1080p and 100Hz is enough for everyday use, yes. It hits a really sensible balance for work, browsing, videos and casual gaming. The picture is clear, the thin bezel keeps it looking tidy on a desk, and the 100Hz refresh rate makes movement and scrolling feel smoother than a basic 60Hz screen. The extra HDMI and DisplayPort options are useful too because you are not boxed into one setup. My tip would be to spend a few minutes adjusting brightness and display settings once it is connected, especially if you use it for long sessions. Smart, practical and very good value. Five stars.

Very good monitor for the price break, would recommend for this size. No glare, great picture quality and not bad sound from the built in speakers.

At around £75 when i bought this monitor I am very happy I bought it for a very specific purpose which is to use with the cycling training application Zwift in my garage so I didn't want to spend a lot given where it was going to be used It replaced a very old 17" unit so at 24" its much better. The computer picked it up automatically and changed to 1920*1080/60Hz by default (using an NVidia 1650 GPU). I tried setting the graphic card to 75Hz refresh which it did with no problem but I couldn't detect any difference in use (and Zwift runs at a maximum of ~50fps on my PC anyway so I didn't need that higher setting) Very happy with the picture quality out of the box and I have made no adjustments at all. very crisp and flicker free. Ready for use about 5secs after powering on which is good as well I already have some other BENQ monitors and am pleased with those which is partly why I selected this unit 5 Stars for the monitor But - got the delivery notification that left with neighbour bit when I went to get it they had no knowledge of it. With no Amazon driver "failing to deliver" caught on our security camera it was pretty obvious that the Amazon driver has a new monitor so I had to ring up and complain - its tricky to navigate the Amazon automated customer service system but you can get to speak to a real person with persistence. And to be fair once I spoke to a real person another monitor was agreed to be sent FOC straight away, although it took another 3 days to arrive. Its the first time I have ever had anything like that from an Amazon delivery and it did leave a bad taste even though rectified quickly So 1 Star for delivery and 5 Stars for customer service

I bought this for my home office and it’s been a solid upgrade. The picture quality is sharp and clear, with bright, accurate colours and good viewing angles. Text is crisp, and it’s easy on the eyes during longer work sessions thanks to the low blue light mode and adjustable brightness. The 100Hz refresh rate gives everything a noticeably smoother feel, especially when multitasking or scrolling through documents. Setup was quick — it connected via HDMI and worked straight away with no issues. The speakers are low quality, but that’s pretty standard for built-in monitor audio. I don’t use them anyway, so it’s not something that bothers me. Overall, this is a great monitor for anyone setting up a home office or just looking for a reliable screen for everyday use. Im loving the item, the picture quality is amazing and its really easy to set up. The sound quality is good and its easy to connect consoles too which is why i wanted it (Enjoy my photos of what i was playing and watching before writing this)

I purchased this monitor as a backup to my Del 4K monitor. And although it does not have the resolution or the depth of colour to the Del it holds up well for the price point the screen is clear and bright and the colours are comparable to the more expensive Del monitor. I’m going to give it a solid 4 out of 5 for screen quality and build quality however the stand is not up to BenQ usual quality. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed as I paid less than £90. Overall, I’m going to give it 5 out of 5 because it’s such a fantastic monitor for the price and using it as a dual monitor in conjunction with my four times more expensive Del monitor it holds up very well.

I’ve been squinting at my 24” ASUS display for a couple of years and got fed up with the headaches. I bought this beauty for a penny short of £100 and have been amazed at the quality of the picture and reduction in headaches. Great for browsing, spreadsheets and gaming. Recommended!

THE monitor is very good, for the price, perfectly adaptable colour modes, blue light filter, and gaming works very find for this class of monitors, qlso the responsiveness of the screen while gaming feels finem and at the same time this screen takes care of your eyes by adapting constantly the light intensity, of course dont use this during gaming

Ich habe mir den BenQ GW2490E 24 Zoll Monitor speziell für meinen HomeOffice-Arbeitsplatz angeschafft, da ich einen zuverlässigen, augenschonenden und preislich attraktiven Bildschirm gesucht habe – und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Lieferung und Verpackung Die Lieferung erfolgte sehr schnell und der Monitor kam sicher und gut verpackt bei mir an. Alle Komponenten waren ordentlich verstaut, sodass Transportschäden ausgeschlossen werden konnten. Im Lieferumfang war alles enthalten, was man für den sofortigen Start benötigt – ein HDMI-Kabel, Stromkabel sowie die nötige Dokumentation. Hinweis für alle, die lieber über DisplayPort arbeiten: Ein entsprechendes Kabel liegt nicht bei und muss separat gekauft werden. Design und Verarbeitung Der Monitor besteht vollständig aus Kunststoff, was zunächst vielleicht weniger hochwertig klingt. Doch in der Praxis wirkt das Material alles andere als billig. Die Verarbeitung ist durchweg sauber und solide, nichts knarzt oder wackelt. Der Standfuß ist ebenfalls aus Kunststoff gefertigt, bietet aber dennoch ausreichend Stabilität. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der dünne Rahmen (Thin Bezel), der dem Monitor ein modernes, fast rahmenloses Erscheinungsbild verleiht – ideal auch, wenn man später ein Multi-Monitor-Setup plant. Inbetriebnahme und Kompatibilität Der Aufbau war in wenigen Minuten erledigt. Ich nutze den Monitor in Kombination mit einem HP EliteBook, der über HDMI angeschlossen wurde. Der Bildschirm wurde sofort und ohne jegliche Treiberprobleme erkannt. Auch die integrierten Lautsprecher wurden vom System direkt übernommen – natürlich darf man hier keine HiFi-Qualität erwarten, aber für Videocalls oder gelegentliches Anhören von Podcasts sind sie völlig ausreichend. Bildqualität und Nutzungserfahrung Das IPS-Panel liefert ein scharfes, farbtreues und blickwinkelstabiles Bild. Mit 100Hz Bildwiederholrate läuft das Bild angenehm flüssig – ein echter Pluspunkt, sowohl im Arbeitsalltag als auch beim gelegentlichen Gaming. Selbst bei schnellen Bewegungen in Spielen wirkt das Bild stabil und klar. Ich arbeite im Dachgeschoss, wo es vor allem im Sommer sehr warm werden kann. Dennoch konnte ich keinerlei Überhitzung oder Leistungseinbußen feststellen. Die smarte Helligkeitsanpassung sorgt außerdem dafür, dass das Bild auch bei wechselnden Lichtverhältnissen stets angenehm bleibt. Besonders schätze ich die Eye-Care-Technologie von BenQ – längeres Arbeiten ist spürbar entspannter für die Augen, was sich insbesondere nach einem langen Arbeitstag bemerkbar macht. Fazit Für den aktuellen Preis ist der BenQ GW2490E meiner Meinung nach nahezu unschlagbar. Wer einen zuverlässigen, augenschonenden und gleichzeitig auch gamingtauglichen Monitor sucht, wird hier fündig. Ich überlege ernsthaft, mir ein zweites Modell zuzulegen, um meine Produktivität im HomeOffice noch weiter zu steigern. Ein durchweg gelungenes Gesamtpaket – klare Kaufempfehlung!
