I used this steamer cap once, and while it does function as advertised — heating up and producing steam consistently — it didn’t quite meet my needs. I have locs and a lot of hair volume, and the steam didn’t penetrate deeply enough to be effective for me. The included satin bonnet didn’t help either; it just got wet and didn’t seem to enhance the steaming process. I wish the product came with a plastic cap instead, which might help trap steam better. An adjustable fit would also be a huge improvement for bulkier hair types. Overall, I think this steamer cap would work well for looser, lower-density hair. For locs or high-volume styles, it may not deliver the deep conditioning experience you're hoping for.

This is a very good, effective steamer. I was apprehensive, and made the purchase because the price point was reasonable. I felt as though I could not lose, but after using it I can admit... I Won!! So easy to use, the bonnet that comes with the steamer is nice, and let's not talk about how convenient it is. Wow!! I really like this product.

My hair after using this is always much healthier. I multitask when I'm using it and it's especially refreshing. The air is so dry where I live and this helps tremendously. Easy to use and super valuable. I have really thick hair that can get unmanageable and break without proper conditioning. My hair is so healthy I saturate it really well with oils and deep conditioners when using. It's light weight, very durable, and simple to use.
