The adhesive backing stuck firmly to my surface and I had the whole 20 m lit up and controlled within a few minutes using the app. The instructions were clear enough and pairing them to Wi-Fi and my smart assistants was painless, which is always a bonus when setting up new smart lights. Once installed the brightness is consistent across the whole length with no dim patches, and the colours are vibrant and responsive. I’ve used the music sync mode a few times and it works nicely, reacting to sound without lots of lag, which makes them a lot of fun for evening ambience or parties. The flexible strip is easy to bend around corners and angles, and the quality feels solid rather than flimsy, which gives confidence that they’ll last. The AI lighting designer and app controls are a nice addition, though I did find the app has a few quirks and could be more intuitive in places.
