Great shorts for my boys, ordered more!
My sons love these shorts so much I ordered 4 more. I will update review if I notice any size difference among the same size (I've had that happen before). I ordered a 30 and they fit like I thought. I would even dare to say they sized a little bit bigger than I expected for a 30. I have skinny tall boys (in the 28"-29" range) and a 30 in any pants or shorts run a little big on them, and so did these shorts. They definitely have to wear belts for now, but love the fit, the fabric, and the pockets. I didn't notice before buying that the right leg has a zipper pocket too. Nice! My boys love that they're plenty long. My older very thin son is 6' 1" and it fits right over his knee cap perfect. My other, more average built but still thin, son is 5' 9" and still growing, and the shorts rest right at the end or below his knee cap. They look a little bit bigger on him, meaning mostly longer, but still look good on him and he said he likes them (no weird over baggy look). Being a seamstress myself I made sure the crotch area was where it's suppose to be, and comfortable for my boys. The same size shorts looked nice on both of them. So far they are great shorts for a great price! I just might buy a pair for my husband too.Update: I am adding pictures, and it's my 5' 9" son in them. (The two dark gray shorts photos are the same shorts with a belt and without a belt.) I bought 4 more and first, they all came in different packages fyi. Still waiting for one more. So the dark gray and black fit the same on the waist and length, however the khakis did not. They were noticeably smaller on the waist and length, which for my younger shorter son turned out perfect even though I bought that color for my older taller son. Oh well. The dark gray came to me obviously a return item from a previous purchaser. I ordered another dark gray but still waiting for it to show up. The tag was missing, which, then, FYI, led me to discover that these shorts come with an extra button on the tag. I like extra buttons for obvious reasons, but it also typically indicates a little bit more quality work put into making them. Anyways, I was a little annoyed I got someone else's returned pants which obviously must have been too tight on that person because the waist was a little looser, from obvious wear on a bigger person, than the black ones, the crisp new feel was gone, and they were wrinkled in a way that indicated a return item. Sorry, I'm a mom and we know a clean versus worn feel to clothing (I can sense moms nodding their head yes right now😉). Conclusion, still love the shorts, same sizes (at least the size 30) fit the similar enough across different batches in dark gray and black, and the khakis run smaller. I did buy a 38 in black and will update how that fits when it comes, because fitting an average semi-fit 40 year old man in shorts is a different ballpark than fitting young fit teenage boys in them (once again moms/wives are nodding heads yes😉). I will also try to update with a photo of my 6'1" son to show the shorts are plenty long for tall people too.Update: The 38 black fit my husband, but he said they felt a little bit on the bigger size. Little bit bigger meaning I would not size down, but either like it and adjust or return them. He likes them so they're a keeper. I was surprised how long they looked on him though. He's 5'11" and I thought they were almost too long (I will try to add photo.) He liked them. Still overall the best cargo pants I've found for a good price. Quick note: when the other 30 dark gray arrived they ended up being like the khaki pair in size. So out of buying 6 pairs (5 a size 30 and 1 size 38) I would say they will fit just right or a little bit big (meaning wear a belt, not size down). So I recommend getting your actual size. If you're an "in-betweener " better to go with the higher size and wear a belt than be too tight.

Inexpensive build quality, long fit
[Updated at the end of review] Just got a pair of these and as surprised by how long they are. I'm 5' 11" with a 36" waist, and these shorts extend well below my knee, unlike the accompanying photo on this page which shows them ending right at the knee. I love the extra zip pocket on one side for phone/wallet/money, which is why I got these. Just beware that they are a very long cargo short style. The material is relatively thin and light, but durable. The zippers are meaty and seem durable. Oddly, the seams for the pockets are on the outside, so they are visible down the front of the shorts.[UPDATE after wearing 10 days]: I just lowered my rating to 2 of 5 stars (from 4 of 5) because of new issues which have come up now that I've worn the shorts for at least 10 days and washed them several times. I drip-dry all of my shorts, so they have never been in a dryer. 2 new issues have come up. The main button at the waist came unraveled recently, and the pull-piece of the 2 metal zippers constantly get stuck in a sideways position that's hard to fix. I consider having buttons fall off clothing to be somewhat "unforgivable", especially in the first few months of use. Attaching buttons so that they are, for all intents and purposes, permanent, is easy. So attaching a button so loosely that it falls off after 10 uses is simply poor quality-control, poor build design, or both.

Close to being pants
I should've looked at the specs more closely and/or not been drunk when ordering. These shorts are about 1 foot away from being pants. I got waist size at 42" because I'm a drunk fatty, but they're comfortable and fitting. BUT apparently the fatter you are, the taller you are? I'm 5'10" with a 42" waist, so these shorts get longer the wider you are. I'm glad it wasn't above my knee, but damn, I didn't want capris! Anyways, I'm not trying to dress-to-impress so these shorts fit into my "look": goes clothes shopping online... drunk.

great if you want baggy capri pants. YUCK
The photo shows the shorts as at the knee but instead it is well below the knees and looks euro capri pants silly. (I cringe when I see a euro traveler walking around in capri pants along with black socks and running shoes :)) I sent them back.

Love the fit and finish
Glad I ordered a size up. 5'10 190. Normally wear 33-34 but ordered 36. Fit perfect. Love the long length and cut. Come down well over the knee like I wanted. Like the cotton/poly blend too. Ordered a second pair. Very happy!

I purchased Greatrees black cargo shorts because I liked the style
I purchased Greatrees black cargo shorts because I liked the style, and needed some shorts for a reasonable value. I found them to be long, as pictured, even on a 6'3" frame. I found them to be lightweight, and easy to move in. The buttons on the back are of odd style; being a large, reflective black/silver color. These are my least favorite feature of the shorts. The stitching is good and sturdy, with plenty of pockets. It is stated these are "cotton", but mine were a blend of 60% Poly/40% Cotton. So I guess, there is some cotton. I'd have preferred them to be 100%. The washing directions call for hand washing, which I'm not following. I threw mine in a gentle cycle and they seem fine. All in all, for the price and style, I'd say they are a good buy. I just wished they had used a different set of buttons.

Skater shorts...
Be prepared these shorts are longer than expected even on the bigger guys. Got a size 40 and they hit below the knee at least 6 inches or more. If you're ok with the length these shorts are actually really nice with lots of pockets. Light weight for the summer!

Shiny
I like the design and the color and the fit just as I expected, but the gray fabric is shiny so I will probably return this.
