**This deluxe first-print edition will have sprayed edges.** From USA Today bestselling author Rina Kent comes the third in a dark and steamy college romance series featuring elite criminal families and morally gray heroes. Cecily is barely staying afloat when mafia prince Jeremy Volkov storms into her life. He's never wanted anything for himself, but he wants Cecily...and he'll have her. I've been trapped by the devil. When Cecily Knight does a favor for a friend, going to the Heathens' violent initiation competition to get a lay of the land for a rival gang, she thinks she may be able to get away with it because she has a superpower: invisibility. She can slip through most situations unnoticed. But immediately, she realizes her mistake. Behind enemy lines on a night like that, she's done the opposite, and the devil has noticed her. Jeremy Volkov isn't really the devil, but he may as well be as far as Cecily's concerned. He's not just a member of the Heathens--he's their leader, heir apparent to the Russian Bratva, and her one and only match on a kink app where she's finally admitted her darkest desires. And now, Jeremy has barged through her defenses, stalking her from the shadows and stealing her from the life she knows. He says he's out to protect her, but she knows the truth: he's out to possess her, own her, keep her. And Cecily? She has no intention of becoming a part of his blood-soaked world...or so she thinks. Review: Jeremy Volkov is the blueprint - God of Wrath has been one of my most awaited releases for 2022 since finding out who the story would revolve around. As it goes, certain books are often hyped in the run up to release, but sadly fail to live up to the expectations set. When I say this isn’t the case with GoW, you can rest assured that this book is the exact opposite. Diving right in, Jeremy Volkov should be the blueprint for all dark romance authors going forward. Rina hit the nail on the head when she delivered this character to us, Jer can give his father a run for his money. He is mouthwatering, swoon-worthy and incredibly sexy. This man is possessive and just as obsessed with Cec as I am with him, I can fully admit that Rina has ruined all other fictional men for me as I will NEVER get over Jeremy Volkov. There was an air of mystery shrouding this character prior to this book, but as we get to know him, it’s so easy to see that the sweet, protective boy from VOD is still there; he just craves a little love. Jeremy is extremely caring and over the top protective of those he holds dear and close to his heart. Whilst he is a man of his word, he is certainly not someone who should be crossed; he proves time and time again just how ruthless he can be if anyone dares to hurt those who are his. Cecily Knight on the other hand is the sweetest, most caring friend that you can come across. Whilst her friendship with Ava has been seen in the previous two books, we truly understand the depths of how close these two are and it’s so heartwarming- they’re more like sisters than best friends who root for each other’s safety and happiness. Cec is undeniably everything that is good in this world, which made it that much harder to unravel her past and understand her nature. The more you get inside Cecily’s head, you can make sense of the chaos and struggle. Her strength is what makes you root for her happy ever after and her loyalty to those that she cares about is unwavering, which makes her easily loved by all of her family and friends. When both of Jeremy and Cecily are together there are literal fireworks ignited with gasoline going off. Their romance is scorchingly hot and dangerous, we are in for a deadly but unforgettable ride. They are very yin and yang, two halves to a broken heart, both with similar unresolved childhood trauma that the other helps to heal and overcome. I fell in love with how open and honest they are with each other, whilst there were misunderstandings, they eventually overcame them and wholly accepted each other. They proved that you can be more than just the labels place on you, they don’t define who you are or your morals. Together these two are just perfect, they bring a sense of peace to each other that they have found lacking from the world. Despite their animalistic urges and chases they are the calm each one craves in an otherwise uncertain world. Apart from the main couple, the second best thing about this book was the visit by Adrian. I like to think he popped in to once again to remind me why he is the best father (IMO). His advice and care for his son was so unlike what I had expected, his loving words melted my heart and showed me that no matter how old his heir becomes, Jeremy will always remain Adrian’s malysh. This book is by far the best in the series and not one to be missed. God of Wrath
This book was right up my street!! It gave so much dark romance with the primal play and him stalking her but in the Zade Meadows way of touch her and 💀 The more I read these books the more I’m familiar with their parents books which I read so long ago!! I’m definitely going to reread them after this series!! I absolutely love Jeremy and Cecilys story! The fact that she is crushing hard on Landon at the beginning of the book and willing to do anything for him that Jeremy isn’t so easy to accept when she realises she never in fact like Landon and choices Jeremy!! 🥺 I especially loved how much Jeremy showed his soft side slowly after the “scenes”! This is definitely my second favourite in the series! 🤍

God of Wrath is intense, erotic, and emotionally devastating—not for the faint of heart
<strong>God of Wrath is intense, erotic, and emotionally devastating—not for the faint of heart, but unforgettable for those who can handle the burn.</strong> This installment gripped me from the first sentence. I was already intrigued by Cecily from the hints dropped in God of Pain, and this book picks up right where that one left off—unraveling her story in a way that’s both deeply psychological and undeniably magnetic. It even takes us back to God of Malice, showing Cecily’s journey woven silently through the previous books, now finally told through her eyes. God of Wrath explores taboo desires—consensual non-consent (CNC), primal play, and intense Dom/Sub dynamics—with a raw honesty that doesn’t flinch. Cecily’s inner turmoil around her fantasies is written with empathy and realism. She questions herself, ashamed of wanting something society tells her is broken. But this book makes it clear: these desires aren’t rooted in trauma, they’re about trust, surrender, and the freedom that comes from giving control to someone who truly sees you. The scenes between Cecily and Jeremy are erotically charged, intricately layered, and emotionally potent. From knife play to psychological games like the fake Russian roulette—these moments aren’t just shocking; they reveal vulnerability, healing, and connection. The emotional depth only intensifies when we learn the roots of Cecily’s dissociation. Her past trauma, including a near-rape after being drugged, resurfaces just as her relationship with Jeremy falls apart under the weight of unspoken truths and misplaced blame. It’s devastating to watch her spiral—especially when a second predator returns to finish what he started. But Jeremy—her obsessive protector and the only one who truly sees her—returns just in time, saving her in the only way he knows how. His violence is brutal, but in this world, it’s survival. And Cecily doesn’t fear it—she finally understands it. Their love is twisted, obsessive, and raw. Their jealousy is infuriatingly addictive. Their passion? Utterly consuming. And while the stakes are life-or-death, the emotional payoff is well worth it. This book isn't just dark romance—it’s emotional warfare with a carnal edge. It's erotic, intense, and painfully honest. If you're into dark romance that walks the knife’s edge between danger and desire, God of Wrath will wreck you—in the best way.

overall it was okay
overall it was okay, i would read again. it def hand triggering themes, it was dark, lots of steam, tension and angst. there were times where it felt like things were taken too far in terms of Jeremy's stalking of her and their steamy scenes especially their first time which is why i didnt give it 4 stars. the later half of the book was better for me as Cecily (FMC) had a stronger personality and stood up for her self. this is the first book i read in the series, it seems like each book is a diff couple. Edit - /ive just re read the book and ive upped the rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. This time Jeremy's stalking i found fit the parameters of Cecily's desires. I enjoyed the connection between them and could feel their emotions. I would def re-read

Okay
This was okay, I did like Jeremy as a character and liked how him and Cecily first met and how their relationship formed. As a big part of the book happened over the same timeline as the last book, and seeing as Jeremy is Annika's brother, I expected there to be more crossover in event, even just to see Jeremy's and sometimes Cecily's side of things, so it was disappointing not to get that.

Hunting Cecily!
This book felt like being hunted—slow, relentless, and impossible to escape. Cecily steps into a world she doesn’t fully understand, thinking she’s in control—sneaking into the Heathens’ initiation, chasing a crush, playing with danger. But the moment she meets Jeremy behind that mask, everything shifts. Because Jeremy doesn’t just notice her. He locks onto her. And from that point on, it’s not a game anymore. Jeremy is the kind of character who doesn’t do second chances. One mistake, and you’re done. That’s it. Clean. Final. Except… not with Cecily. With her, he hesitates. Watches. Tries to understand her in a way that feels almost clinical at first—but quickly turns into something far more consuming. His curiosity mixes with irritation, especially when it comes to her interest in Landon, and that tension builds into something sharp and addictive. Cecily, on the other hand, isn’t just naïve curiosity—she’s carrying trauma, fear, and internal battles that bleed into everything she does. And somehow, Jeremy sees that too. Their dynamic is intense, possessive, and emotionally charged. There’s a constant push and pull—control vs vulnerability, obsession vs fear. Jeremy wants to dominate, to understand, to own… but Cecily isn’t someone who can simply be broken into place. She’s fractured in her own way, and that makes their connection even more volatile. And yet—beneath all that darkness—there’s growth. Jeremy pushes her to confront the things she’s been running from, forcing her to face her fears head-on. In his own twisted way, he helps her reclaim parts of herself she thought were lost. But Cecily changes him too. She forces him to feel—to confront his own fears of abandonment, his inability to trust, and the walls he’s built to protect himself. Through her, he begins to understand not just others… but himself. And then the last 100 pages hit. And everything breaks. Jeremy—who lives by his “one strike and you’re out” rule—lets his insecurities and jealousy take control. The same man who gave Cecily chances suddenly forgets everything they built. That moment was frustrating, painful, and honestly heartbreaking—because you can see exactly why he reacts the way he does. He’s terrified. Terrified of being left. Of not being enough. Of caring too much. Cecily’s response? Just as powerful. “I won’t allow anyone to hurt me again. Not even the man I’m sure is the love of my life.” That line hits deep because it shows her growth. She’s no longer the girl running from herself—she’s someone who knows her worth, even if it costs her everything. And Adrian? The perfect balance of protective and perceptive. He doesn’t just shield Jeremy—he pushes him, forces him to see past his own self-destruction before he makes a mistake he can’t undo. By the end, Jeremy’s truth becomes painfully clear: He never let people get close… because he couldn’t survive being left behind. And that’s what makes this story linger. This isn’t a soft romance. It’s sharp, obsessive, and emotionally heavy. But underneath all the darkness, God of Wrath is about two broken people learning—painfully—how to trust, how to heal, and how to love without destroying each other in the process. And honestly? It leaves a mark.

It follows Cecily who has everything she wants, perfect grades, perfect family and perfect friends however no one knows what lies beneath the surface. She does to RES University and one evening she attends the rivalry universities initiation hunt using someone else’s invite to gain some intel from them. During this hunt despite her ability to be blend in the crowd she meets Jeremy, the leader of the Heathens he catches her and their story unfolds from there. Oh my god, Jeremy Jeremy!!! He was boy obsessed and just totally over the top. I loved seeing his possessiveness over his Lisichka and how he was totally soft her and his loved ones. He is one of my favourite antihero’s ever written! Cecily, was such a relatable character with expressing her insecurities, her fears and desperation for finding a connection. My heart hurt for her reading the trauma that she went through. I loved how not only did Cecily allow Jeremy to help with trauma but she was also able to re-discover herself and to learn to be both dependent on him and herself. Cecily’s and Jeremy’s relationship is just full of complexity and tension. The spicy scenes oh my, especially the Russian Roulette scene in their cabin 🥵. I adored the banter between all of the characters. Ava’s and Cecily’s relationship just warms my heart. I enjoyed seeing her glimpses and interactions of the future couples such as Nikolai and his “lotus flower” as well as Landon and Mia! Rina, just does not disappoint, all her books just blow me away and this did not disappoint. This is one of my favourite reads in this series along side God Of Malice. I just absolutely adore this world, Rina’s world building is just out of this world. And the reading the POV from both Adrian and Xander just made me never want this world to end. I cannot wait to read Landon and his little mouses book next!!🧡 ⚠️This is a dark romance, please check for triggers⚠️

Merci encore Rina Kent !

God of Wrath Review
God of Wrath is the third book in the Legacy of Gods series by Rina Kent, and it tells the story of Cecily Knight and Jeremy Volkov. God of Wrath, so far, was the book where the couple was best developed and where Rina built several domestic scenes. However, a few things bothered me as I read, and I'll talk about them later. I pretty much like the way Rina writes a lot, her writing is fluid, captivating and has all the elements that attract me to a book. And God of Wrath was no different. However, I must say, that despite the writing being impeccably cohesive, the plot was very simple and very similar to the other first two books. There were no plot twists and no elements other than God of Malice and God of Pain. However, the story was still good and it was worth all the waiting for Jeremy and Cecily. If Rina was wrong in not building a new plot, with a breathtaking plot, she was right, brilliantly, in building the couple's story. She built their story from the beginning, from the first big interaction between them, to the moment where they discover what they feel for each other. And I must say, that one of the greatest strengths of the book was precisely their dynamics. Jeremy and Cecily are an intense couple, full of steamy and mind-blowing scenes. There was one of their steamy scenes that my kindle almost melted in my hand. Jeremy was fundamental in Cecily's self-discovery, and Cecily, too, was fundamental in Jeremy's healing process. Cecily is simply an amazing character. She is strong, loyal to her friends and family. Cecily went through a trauma that changed her whole life, including her way of acting. And Rina managed to approach very well, very well, the psychological and emotional aspects of the character. Cecily is one of Rina's best girls, without a doubt. As a psychologist, I simply state that this character is one of Rina Kent's most complex and real characters. I could do a brilliant psychological case study through the issues that were addressed within the character. Jeremy was also a very good character, but his individual development left a little to be desired. I wish I'd had the opportunity to know more about him, to have had the opportunity to get even deeper into his head. Jeremy is a character who is loyal to his friends, especially Nikolai. His relationship with Adrian is wonderful, I loved every father-son moment they had. Regarding the things I didn't like about God of Wrath, I must say that there was a lack of a plot twist to leave the reader speechless. Rina sinned a lot in not having brought up a conversation between Jeremy and Lia, since half of his traumas came from elements experienced by him during his childhood. And the resolution of the conflict between Jeremy and Cecily, at the end of the book, was very quick and lacked a touch of emotion in the scene.
