Keep it in a space where it cant bend the piece that opens the top to look at baby. It's thin material but it can hold a little heat, just open up the side enough to keep air circulation and still have privacy. It's soft, won't irritate baby's skin. You can use the snaps in the back, but I don't unless it's windy. Fits nice and still have a lot of room.
