khadi NATURAL HAZEL Natural Hair Colour - Hair Colour for shiny to rich chocolate brown - 100% herbal & natural - 100g

I have very dark hair with about 5% of stubborn greys. I can not use conventional hair dye due to an allergy to PPD. Khadi Hazel is very good, covers the grey very well and once dyed, the colour seems pretty permanent, although it gradually fades. Hazel is actually much lighter than my original hair colour but there are reasons I choose this colour: - I quite like the 'Highlight' effect by dyeing greys with slightly lighter colour. It looks actually much more natural and does not cause the dreaded 'Helmet' look. - I like the colour of Khadi Hazel, which is very natural, sort of very dark beige rather than brown. It is not orange nor Bordeaux colour. - I have used Khadi Ash Brown but this colour tends to turn more Bordeaux, a little too much purple for me. Also due to the large quantity of Indigo, it makes my hair very dry and brittle to touch. Also Indigo doesn't dye hair as well as Henna, that is why Khadi recommends dyeing the hair first with pure henna then dye again with darker colours （more indigo) such as Ashbrown and Darkbrown. I don't really fancy neither the idea of double dyeing (so time consuming...) nor the orange undertone on my hair from pure henna. I find it is vital to have the mixture quite runny and a lot of it. it seems more paste on hair means better result. For stubborn greys I put extra paste and put a piece of clingfilm like a patch. Then I wear a disposable plastic shower cap and a silver thermal cap over it. It is also vital to wear disposable plastic gloves when you dye, rinse but also for the first few shampoos, otherwise your nails get dyed too.

My hair is naturally dark brown with some grey hairs and I purchased the dark brown/ hazel colour. I mixed it with the juice of half a lemon and water mixed with black tea then I applied it to my hair when it was warm and covered with a shower cap for 2 hours and a towel. It is very messy and hard to wash out, it takes a really long time to wash out and I did it with my head over the bathtub filling up jugs of water and washing my hair. When the water was nearly clear I put a handful of a natural deep conditioner in my hair and scalp and rubbed it through and rinsed it finally with cold water. My hair was smooth and shiny straight away and dried really nicely. The dye made my hair colour more even with some lighter tones, it's very similar to my natural hair colour and it dyed my hair a light brown although not all of the grey hairs are covered but I think that's due to my application. I will definitely be using this for my hair in future.

I’ve tried so many natural products that claim to cover grey/white hair. Most of them don’t work. But this absolutely does! And an added bonus is it doesn’t stain your skin or the bathroom furniture! I used the hazel colour as my hair is quite dark and the grey hair has come out a golden colour.

Not recommended ,my grey hair turned green. A waste of money. Now, I have to fix it.

Después de probarlo durante bastante tiempo, puedo decir que estoy encantada con este tinte vegetal. Elegí el tono Castaño Avellana y el resultado ha sido muy natural, con un color lleno de matices y mucho brillo. Mi pelo se ve mucho más sano que cuando utilizaba tintes químicos. Lo que más me gusta es que no solo tiñe, sino que además parece tratar el cabello. Después de aplicarlo noto el pelo con más cuerpo, fuerte y con un aspecto muy saludable. En mi caso, incluso tengo la sensación de que se engrasa menos y luce con más volumen. Es cierto que no todo son ventajas. La aplicación requiere un poco más de tiempo y paciencia que un tinte convencional. Hay que preparar la mezcla, aplicarla mientras está caliente y respetar el tiempo de exposición. Además, el olor es bastante intenso, a hierbas, y puede resultar desagradable para algunas personas. La textura también es espesa y recuerda un poco al barro, por lo que hay que cogerle el truco para repartirlo bien. Como punto a tener en cuenta, si buscas cambios de color muy radicales o aclarar el cabello, este tipo de tintes no es la mejor opción. Está pensado para aportar color de forma natural y cubrir las canas respetando la fibra capilar. Pros: * Color muy natural y bonito. * Aporta muchísimo brillo. * Deja el cabello más fuerte, con cuerpo y aspecto saludable. * No contiene los químicos agresivos de los tintes tradicionales. * Buena cobertura de canas si se sigue correctamente el proceso. Contras: * El olor a plantas es bastante fuerte. * La preparación y aplicación llevan más tiempo. * La textura es espesa y algo complicada al principio. * No aclara el cabello ni permite cambios drásticos de color. A pesar de esos pequeños inconvenientes, para mí compensan con creces. Prefiero dedicar un poco más de tiempo a teñirme y saber que estoy cuidando mi pelo. Sin duda seguiré comprándolo porque el resultado merece totalmente la pena. ¡Y mi pelo está precioso!

Finally, I have found a hair color that doesn't damage my hair. I am experiencing hair thinning due to menopause and box chemical colors aggravated the situation. Khadi is natural and does not have ammonia and other chemicals that damage your hair in due course. I use Nut Brown shade and the color comes out so good. After coloring, my hair looks healthy, nourished, and shiny. It is a bit messy to use but I don't mind following all the steps as instructed simply because it maintains the health of my hair, does not thin or damage my hair. It is way better than those high-end box chemical dyes.
