Why does my voltmeter only show 70-80V when testing the inverter output, while the inverter screen shows 120V?

This is not a defect or malfunction. The issue is likely because your voltmeter isn’t using the correct measurement mode. This is a modified sine wave inverter, so make sure your voltmeter supports RMS or True RMS (TRMS) mode for accurate readings.

What size inverter should I buy?

Always choose an inverter with a higher power rating than your appliances. If your coffee machine is 2000W, a 3000W or 4000W inverter would be a good choice. Not sure? Feel free to tell us for professional advice.

Works good

Used for 3 months now with 4 12v 150ah batteries. Seems to work ok, voltage reading on the display is low but otherwise it works surprisingly well.

Modified sine wave is NOT pure sine wave

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The price was great. Its a nice inverter, been running non stop for 2 months flawlessly. I knocked off 2 stars because it won't charge my car. Model 3 won't accept the power from the inverter. It deems it as an "unstable power source" that was very disappointing since I bought the inverter for that purpose (mostly). But it's been working great running everything else.

Lost over $800 equipment in less than 30 minutes

I had a 1000w inverter that was working perfectly. I wanted to get a heavier inverter for if I ever want to add electronics. I used this inverter for less than 30 minutes then I smelled electrical burn. I unplugged everything immediately but my $800 battery bank was destroyed. It never charged over 11volts again.I spoke to a manager at Amazon that said they will either compensate me or send me a 300ah battery.I accepted although it was weaker than what I had.Now Amazon has no record of the conversation!!!
