I bought it previously 5 years ago during the height of COVID and working from home, so the mat got a lot of use from me at the desk. It ended up getting stress points from where I rolled around on it in my chair and caused the plastic to split a lot over time. I got a second one since I just want the same shape of the carpet to match the discoloration from where the old one was, but also because it was sturdy for how long it lasted and endured.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thick and effective chair mat, difficult to set up

This has been a great mat to use in my home office, which is actually my living room and has carpet. HOWEVER, if you can, make sure to have one or two people with you when you are first getting it out of the delivery box - it comes rolled up. The material is thick and sturdy, and it was nearly impossible to wrestle flat by myself. I spent about 45 minutes wrestling with it, and I practically had to use my whole body to finagle each side under a different heavy object. The mat will fight you to stay rolled, and the nubs on the carpet side don't make it any easier. Just be prepared to use some muscle getting it flat. Due to the amount of effort it took to set up, I was prepared to have to keep it weighted flat for several days before I could actually move and use it. Surprisingly, after one night being weighted down, it was completely ready to move and didn't curl back up even a little bit. Overall - I have been happy with it and would recommend this for carpeted offices. Just try to have some helpers on hand when first laying it flat.
