Thomas Kinkade Paint with Water: Through the Seasons

This book changed my life. I painted my first copy a couple of years ago. I have since done every single one of the Paint with Water books and this is one of my favorites (ties with Harry Potter). I've even painted two copies of this one. These books have gone with me on hospital stays, vacations, and have helped me endure chronic pain and surgery recoveries. I now give them as gifts to people who are enduring hardships. I wish they came with a waterbrush, but they don't. I have a huge collection of water brushes now and I give one away with each book so people can do these anywhere.

Amazing! My daughter and I are having so much fun with this book. There are so many pages. It's worth every penny.

Just add a wet paint brush and the artwork comes alive! Never make a mistake.

It's ok. The colors are nothing like the original photos and it leaves me a bit disappointed. Especially the winter scenes. So much of it is just left empty. I get that snow is white, but you could include some subtle blues and yellows. Some more green on the trees. It's not bad, just not a nice as I was hoping.

Does using water makes these beautiful pictures come to life! I love that all I need is a little bit of water and the wonderful brush that comes with it and I can color on the road

My 91 yo mother is really enjoying this. She doesn’t have to worry about what color should go where. When she paints the water on, a beautiful colorful picture emerges a bit at a time. Very relaxing, easy and simple!!! And since all you need is water, the brush and book she can take it anywhere and not worry about spills or clean up!

These books are so much fun and so relaxing. I wish there were other design varieties. I have purchased all of the versions of this that I can. My teenage-age daughter loves these.

This is by far the worst paint-with-water book I've ever done. I've done many of these books for relaxation but this is the first one that I've abandoned after trying to paint about 10 of the 36 paintings. The results were so bad that I gave up. Of course, I know they won't look like an original Thomas Kinkade painting but these don't even come close. Most paint with water books have an "edge' at the demarcation line between different colors so they don't run together unless you deliberately blend them. With this book, the colors run together even if you're careful to blot your wet brush before using it. Also, the image uses lots of very small details so there isn't a chance of keeping the paint within the lines, especially with the fat brush that comes with the kit. I use my own brushes and even that didn't help. I waited a long time for this book to drop and what a disappointment. Don't waste your money!

Ça prend un peu de temps pour comprendre comment bien étaler l'eau avec les couleurs déjà fournies mais c'est très agréable à réaliser. L'idéal c'est de compléter avec un peu de complément de peinture à l'eau du moins selon mes goûts personnels.

So relaxing and therapeutic. Definitely helps you stop and take time away from the pressures around us. And results in some beautiful artwork

This is a really lovely book, and I’m enjoying the magic painting aimed at adults. It’s more expensive than many but the paper is thick and there are 36 paintings. The colours are soft and pretty, and blend in a way reminiscent of the originals.
