I made this along with fufu for dinner. This was my first time ever having Egusi and not sure what it’s suppose to taste like but it was absolutely delicious! I found recipes online and all of the ingredients on the online recipes were the same in this kit. The only thing that you need to provide is the meat. I used beef short ribs. The only downside is that there is a heavy odor that comes from the oil that is used. I will definitely be purchasing this again but next time I will cook it outside.

Follow the instructions and you’ll have the perfect egusi at home. I wish they had a bulk option for this but this is a few servings. I like to eat this every month for the health benefits and it’s comforting taste. Thus egusi is delicious and I’d order again just to have it on hand Smell is unique but not bad.. My partner couldn’t take the spice but it seemed mild to me. Both myself and the kiddos loved it and I froze the rest to add okra to later. Quality is on par for what you’ll order in a restaurant. I added very small carrots to the spinach while cooking and made two separate broths. If you are allergic to crawfish, this isn’t for you but more for the rest of us

Good taste, makes 4 servings. Personally I wish the pepper packet was a bit spicier. Also I do not like the crayfish taste or smell but that is a personal preference. Also I see what ever meant when they said the red palm oil smelled a bit fishy. It does. Not sure why it smells like that so I didn’t use it. Luckily I had my own. I would order again for convenience yet I feel like there are others that will give you more product. Instructions were easy and I used with sautéed red onion, fresh spinach and beef shank / oxtail meat. I also added a tomato chicken bullion, that is just my preference of taste.

The flavor is pretty good. The inside of the bag smells fishy, but I don’t think it ended up tasting fishy at all. I wish it came with a seasoning packet as I have never made this before and didn’t know what seasonings to use. It was kind of bland until I added chicken bouillon, tumeric, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. The instructions don’t tell you how much water to use, so it was a guessing game.

Everything was what I expected. Will buy again. It was delicious.

First off it doesn't tell you how much water to use. But good for me I've cooked Egusi numerous times. I've traveled and eaten egusi all over the world and I thought I would try this kit so I purchased 2 because of the size of my family. Figured it would be quick and easy since it was already measured out. What a waste of 4lbs of goat meat. This was absolutely disgusting. I don't know which ingredient made it gross but my kids refused finishing their food and I've never been so quick to throw it away.

This is a wonderful cooking kit. Was skeptical but glad I bought it. I made wonderful soup and even followed the recipe on the pack. Kudos to the seller for this idea. All you need left are your meat, spices, onion and spinach.enjoy🥰

I love to try new food as and when its all prepped has straight forward directions makes the experience so much better..... will definitely by again. Only suggestion Is to have a fufu kit as well :)

This is a very nice concept having all of the ingredients for Egusi soup put into a pack just to make life easier for busy people. This is very convenient. I know that the pack says complete kit, but I find that the vegetable is not there. I believe that this kit would be complete if there is a small pouch of dried vegetable included in the kit. Other than the above concern, it is a great idea and I am glad that I ordered it.

When I got it, it was expired. Didn't taste the worst after cooking but definitely could have been better.
