Very happy with my new BBQ. Assembly was straight forward, all tools provided and just follow the clear instructions. Yet to use it in anger but seems a well designed, solid bit of kit and should last and perform well. Had a slight issue with a dent in the charcoal tray but the VonHaus customer service team were very responsive and resolved the issue swiftly and satisfactorilly.

I spent a long time looking for a new bbq. I was clear I wanted the ability to smoke meat, grill and have cast iron grill plates. This bbq had a sizeable cooking area too and ability to adjust the height of the heat so was what I went for. Arrived fast and was a massive heavy box. Building it was pretty simple - took me on my own about 90min with help of handheld electric screwdriver. Nothing too frightening here. Construction is solid and all parts lined up except one screw which is half in. Be careful with the screws though as there are no extras so you don’t want to thread one. It’s big but shelves fold down. Did first cook with it - smoking a brisket for 8hrs - and it performed brilliantly. Easy to control temperature with the vents. Easy access to add more fuel if required. Great cooking area so can use indirect heat. Tray for ash easy to remove and clean Very happy. This is a well priced solid bbq that should stand the test of time

Product appears to be reasonable quality, pretty easy to assemble. One problem is that the warning grid arrived severely dented, see image.

Well....it came inside a box, inside a box, with other boxes inside that one. So, well packed and safe from damage (or so I hoped - more on that in a bit). Anyway, please follow the instructions EXACTLY as they flow in the manual, because they work well if they are followed in order. Oh, and tools are supplied - 2 for the bolts, and a cross-head screwdriver. Only just finished the build, which took 2 and a bit hours, and it is very solid and well thought out. Looking forward to getting "my chef's on" and enjoying a steak or 2 from it. Size-wise, its a bit bigger than I thought it would be - no problem....more room for more food for more guests. Capacity for food hasn't been tested yet, but the most charcoal you'll need is 2.5kgs per grilling session. Damage? Unfortunately, yes there was, but only to the side shelves, which I could easily bend out by hand before installation. I am happy to say that I will be keeping it despite these small dings. Overall, I am very pleased with my new outdoor grill and will be adding a griddle plate to it because eggs and chopped onions just won't work on the cast iron (?) grills. It is heavy, but as I'll only be moving it a short distance from the garage to the patio that isn't a problem. The bottom shelf is a great inclusion as I can store my cooking tools in a plastic box when I'm I not using it, and keep them all in one place. Well done VonHaus......another winner.

Great bbq

Easy to assemble, looks great, perfect family size

Like many other reviewers have noted before, some parts came with a few dings and it took a while to assemble. Even after following all instructions to the T, there were misalignments, with the lid not closing fully. The metal sheets are quite bendy. The two stars are for the price alone as this is the best you can get for what you pay. I wonder how buyers bothered to return this considering the trouble one has to go through of dis-assembling the whole thing and stuffing the parts back in a box.
