Revell 14554 Aston Martin DB5 James Bond 007 Goldfinger 1:24 Scale 122-Piece Skill Level 2 Model Car Building Kit

Love it for a list of reasons and one being it’s a Bond-mobile, it’s an Aston Martin DB5, it’s a Revell and it’s also a classic. I really enjoyed building this 007 classic model car. Was not a simple task but was not difficult either. Great for a beginner like myself. My first build. And I’m pretty much a meticulous type of person so this was rewarding.

I really enjoyed building this model. It is a snap together model, but the model has so much detail and looks great when complete.

I grew on James Bond, and GOLDFINGER was mind-blowing for me. I had to get this model, because 1) my Corgie model was painted hold and I lost the North Korean ejector passenger; 2) I met John Stears, a very gentle fellow who trained as a jewelsmith at Harrow College, UK, and went on to do scale model work on shows like OUTLAND, and full size gadget-graced wonders like the AM DB5. The kit, by the great Revell company, loses a star for: no engine compartment, no ejector seat no opening doors. bonnet or trunk and the wheels once mounted get wobbly. I'd pay another 20 bucks to see these issues eliminated. I am making it my life's work to restore the ejector seat, because I never joke about my work, 007. A removable roof panel is supplied. It just begs modding. And this is a snap-fit kit! Little or no glue! Great for working with your kids.

I would give 5 stars except for missing parts and no customer service for me. Model parts are good. Car looks nice. My kit came with two interior parts rungs and two bottom parts rungs. These extras are a mistake that doesn't matter. However, the rungs of clear plastic for windows and headlights were missing. After no response to my email to Customer Service and later a phone call, I made windows and headlights out of thin blueberry container plastic. Note that I received the model in a sealed box, as a gift.

My mom wanted the Goldfinger car for Christmas but I didn’t realize this needed to be assembled. I couldn’t return it because it was past the 30 day window. Today I decided to build it and all the pieces are here except the car frame. I have allll the tiny pieces except the exterior. 😡

I always do research on a model I’m building. Had a tough time trying to find the correct shade is silver- but yea, I did. It’s silver birch. Found krylon makes it
