Smead Desk File/Sorter, Monthly (Jan-Dec), 12 Dividers, Letter Size, Dark Blue (89286)

I wanted a sorter that would allow me to keep track of my students’ final published writing when I was prepping displays. Identifying student by id numbers (I labeled over the alpha labels) and could easily keep this sorter handy on my desk. I used it for the 25-26 sy and it held up well. Plan to use it again this year for the 26-27 at a new school.

Purchased this item due to having piles of paper work on my desk and no where to file them (my office supplies are in storage since COVID). Not knowing how long it would be before I could get my home study office up I decided to purchase this Desk File Folder and happy I did! It has so many slots and is so expandable it handled my large pile of paper work easily and when I have invoices, reports and such coming in I just file it away. I purchased the one with the Months (Jan-Dec) and numbers (1-31) which has been a HUGE help keeping me from going crazy with all the paper work now corralled in 1 large Desk file in 1 area of my temp. office! The only down side or "Con" that I could see being a problem is all 3 sides are open and if the Desk file isn't in a safe place and it falls or is dropped to the ground, then most if not all the paper work will fall out. It would be great if there were in an expandable file folder for each slot to keep everything more secure. I know there are some types of expandable file folders out there, but this one is actually quite large and holds of ton of papers. That being said, I just make sure the Desk file is safe on top of a 3 tiered tray that I have with a bar on top so there are not accidents! I would absolutely purchase again and also suggest to anyone to purchase this Desk File if they are having paper (or even magazine/newspaper/advert) pile issues.

The quality of the file sorter itself was fine. I expected to receive an expandable sorter that would actually allow you to store files into little sections, not simply alphabetical holds. Amazon corrected the situation right away and I did not have to pay for this product John J Hogan

Have used these for many years for accounting and love these for quickly sorting paperwork that I don't have time to file and need on my desk but running out of room.

Bought this for work and I love being able to have things in alphabetic order. When I do my return patient phone calls and cannot get the patient I have to try to reach them again and this allows me to keep things in order instead of having to go through several sheets of paper. I can flip right to their name.

I have used the Daily/Monthly sorter for years and it is indispensable for anyone having to sort a large number of documents for filing, for project management, or if you just want a simple way to track bills to pay or school projects due on a certain date or month. I use a digital calendar, but sometimes you need to put your hands on the paper documentation to go along with the project and this works great. The A-Z sorter is what I use to sort all my receipts during the year. I sort by the vendor and if I need a particular receipt, I know just where to find it. At tax time, I pull all the ones related to my taxes and put them with my return as supporting documents and group the rest to hold for 1 year just in case I have a warranty issue. If you are a business owner, it is cheaper than a file cabinet and secretary and takes just a minute to put invoices or documents where they are easily retrievable.

Have only just opened. It is well made but one issue November is missing. It has February in its place. So too late to return. Refer photo and you can see October is following by February then December
