Finding screen-free activities that actually hold a child's attention can be surprisingly difficult. This one did. My child sat down intending to "just start one" and ended up spending a good chunk of the afternoon working on it. Between placing the gems and filling in the sections with the colored gels, there was enough detail to keep little hands busy without becoming frustrating. I liked that the gel dries fairly quickly, so there wasn't paint getting everywhere or projects sitting around for days waiting to dry. Once finished, the suncatchers looked great hanging in the window, which gave the whole activity a nice payoff at the end. This isn't a quick five-minute craft. It takes some patience and concentration, but that's actually part of what I liked about it. I could easily see this working well on a long flight, during a rainy weekend, or as a playdate activity where everyone has something to focus on. The only thing I'd change is the amount of gel paint included. We had enough to finish the projects, but I found myself encouraging my child not to use too much of certain colors because I wasn't completely sure there would be enough left for the remaining designs. For the price, getting four projects feels like good value. In fact, it kept my child engaged enough that I've already picked up a couple of the other kits in the series, although those will be gem only and won't have the gel detail. Either way, these kits are great for kids and even adults.

My kids absolutely loved this activity. I was able to pull them out of a big meltdown by bringing this out. I like to keep a few new crafts on hand for redirecting, and this worked magic. They sat quietly and worked on this for a long time. The pattern are cute and very easy to follow. This is a quality product that I would definitely purchase again. Everyone who sees them asks where we got them.

The rainbow kit is 🤌🏽 perfection. A lot of gem kits have paint in the title, but have nothing to do with painting! This kit combines gems AND paint and my 5 year old daughter and I love it! The gems stick well and the colors look great even after drying. There’s more than enough paint provided. I also appreciate the colors of the included strings. My brother saw it and had to have one for my niece ❤️

My granddaughter and I had fun making these window clings. the only issue is after sitting in the window for about three months the jems ate starting to fall off

Kids had great fun with this craft for a couple of hours the only problem I had was not enough gems for all the sun catchers so we used paint

This is a wonderfully designed craft kit. This kept my 6 year old niece happy for hours. She loved the finished product, there are several in the pack, and we have all enjoyed the suncatchers at the windows. A great reasonably priced present.
