The quality is very good. It serves the purpose perfectly.

I’ve been using the ULANZI MA35 tripod mount for a few months and overall, I’m impressed. The sturdy anti‑slip grip feels very secure, and the Bluetooth remote connects instantly with no hassle. The little mirror for selfie framing is a clever addition and really helps when shooting. However, I did notice a few downsides. The magnet could have been stronger — it doesn’t always feel as secure with heavier phones. It’s also a bit tricky to mount wider phones like my iPhone 12 Pro Max with a cover, so some adjusting is needed. Additionally, the remote seems to need frequent charging, which can be inconvenient during longer shoots. Overall, it’s a very practical and well‑designed accessory, especially for casual video shooting or travel. Just a bit more strength in the magnet would have made it a perfect 5★

The hand grip is good. Mag is strong if you have a metal ring on your case. Just the iPhone, the mag is less strong. A firm jerk will release the phone. The small built in remote is a great idea. But it works for too short a time. It works for about 1-2 hours after charge. The charge doesn’t hold even if you’re not using it. So it’s practically useless. Buy this for the grip only. The remote is unusable.

I bought it because for the last 4 decades I have been using SLRs, dSLRs and then mirror less cameras and I am used to this kind of camera grip and the shutter button. So, I feel at home when my smartphone, when attached to this grip, gives me feeling of holding a mirror less camera. Second reason of opting this particular grip is the availability of a mirror which helps me in framing myself while using rear camera of the phone. Now I know without seeing myself on phone screen that I am in the centre of the mobile screen. I can fine tune my appearance while working on video editing software. When I am afraid that an accidental bump may cause my phone to fall on the road, I use the optionally available spring clamp for my peace of mind. The fact that the magnetic bluetooth trigger has C Port for recharging is another plus point. Since it is a Ulanzi product, I need not mention that it is nicely built and feels strong. Recommended.

I’ve been eyeing magnetic grips with shutter releases for my iPhone 16 Pro Max for a while since I haven’t been able to master the art of holding the phone at a precarious angle and taking a photo without dropping it. I’ve been eyeing other brands and decided that I’d try Ulanzi again, which has made some tripods/phone mounts that I rather like and have worked well. Setup was virtually a non-issue. Pairing with my phone took less than a minute, and I could slap my phone on and be ready to take photos. Keep in mind that this is just a shutter releases and does not zoom, which is fine. Nor does it change modes between video and photo. Remote is detachable and is charged via USB-C and automatically powers off. Very nice. It feels very nice nice in my hand, like I’m holding my Canon cameras. Weight wasn’t an issue coming from DSLR’s with heavy lenses, so this felt fine. Good build quality, but I would have really enjoyed a wrist strap attachment on this. For $20, this is a great product and I could have easily spent 4x this (or 20x this price for Leica’s) and it’s a great value and I have given some away as gifts already.

Strong magnetic contact with added clamp for security. It’s very easy and quick to connect by Bluetooth, however you have to reconnect every time after you remove it from the phone. The only concern I have is that the shutter button is only held on by magnets and is not clipped in place, so could become dislodged and lost.

Easy to pair to my iPhone and has a very strong magnet. Lots of other features (like a remote button) makes this a great tool for phone photography.
