Perfect
It is the perfect dual vacuum. It works perfectly on all my floors and picks up my dog’s hair. The 2 speed choice is also a great factor. The size of the vacuum is perfect and light weight and filter cleaning is a breeze.

Happy with this purchase
I was trying to decide between this vacuum and a tineco; eventually settled on this due to reviews and the water tank capacity. The regular vacuum feature on this is fantastic, it picked so much up that our other vacuum doesn't! The first time I used the mop feature, it didn't seem like much was happening because the floor didn't look super wet. But as soon as I finished it was obvious how much cleaner my floors looked and it just smelled fresher in the house. I also noticed a few little sauce stains in the kitchen come up as I was going, so it definitely makes a difference. The water tank empties sooner than the battery, which I view as a positive. It takes about one water tank to do most of my hardwood floors and then I can finish up the rugs or areas I don't need to mop that round with the dry vacuum. From full charge, this whole routine will take about 60% of the battery. The water tank is also very easy to fill so if I wanted to do every single hardwood surface at once, it wouldn't be any trouble to refill. I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about the self clean feature not being enough to clean the whole machine. That feature is almost exclusively for the roll brush and anything that gets caught between pickup and the dirty tank, it's very effective for that; I run that feature and then can just set the brush into the stand to dry without having to do any additional cleaning. After that, I just rinse everything else out (brush cover, both water tanks, filters) and leave them out to dry. You don't have to scrub or do anything crazy, but you do need to pull those parts out to dry. I don't find this any more inconvenient than what you have to do after using a regular mop or similar device. A couple more things - this is advertised as being good for area rugs; I would disagree due to the nature of the roll brush and won't be using it on my rugs. Also, I would not say this is a substitute for fully mopping/cleaning your floors. It's wonderful for daily cleaning and keeping a fresh house, but it doesn't get all the way to the floorboards and obviously you can't do any scrubbing with the machine, so I will still be doing an "actual" floor cleaning every few weeks. Overall I would recommend this and find it very useful. We don't have pets or kids, so I can only imagine it would be even more helpful for those that do!

Unreliable -- broke twice in a few months. Customer service is horrible. UPDATE
This machine cleans really well, when it works. After about 6 weeks I got an error code indicating that the clean water canister was empty. It wasn't. Because of the error code, the machine would stop dispensing water, leaving it a simple vacuum. I called Bissell support and they put me on a video chat to confirm the error code and the full water canister. Acknowledging the machine was broken, they sent me a shipping label and said they would send a replacement when they received mine. Of course, I didn't have the original box and this thing is pretty big so shipping it back was kind of a pain, but OK. I received the new machine a few weeks ago and this time I was smart enough to keep the box. Sure enough, a few days ago -- after using the machine 4 or 5 times -- same error code. I just got off the phone with the company (this time the service agent didn't "have access" to the video chat program so I had to email photos) and I'm waiting for another shipping label to send it back. Clearly they have a QA or design problem. I don't know why they built this thing to stop dispensing water when it thinks it's empty. Just flash the code and leave it to the user to notice that it's empty. UPDATE: My third unit started doing the same thing, but this time I figured out what's happening and fixed it. The clean water canister does not fit tight into the base, causing the flow of water to stop and the machine to flash the code for an empty canister. My fix is to place a rubber band on top of the canister before snapping it into place. The rubber creates enough pressure to keep the canister firmly in place. Hey Bissell, I 'm available as a product development consultant. At least you'll know someone is actually using your products before shipping them. UPDATE 2: I was wrong, again. This fix lasted for a while and then the machine started doing the same error message. Called Bissell and was put on hold multiple times for 5-10 minutes each time before finally getting approval to send it to them. Here we go again. I had to hunt down a large box and shlep it to FedEx. Got an email a few days later saying they received it and it would be repaired and sent back in a few days. Waited a couple weeks but heard nothing. Called them and went through the routine: Please hold, apologies for the delay, please hold, getting authorization from corporate, and on an on. After about 45 minutes finally got approval and I would receive a new machine in 4-5 days. Waited a week. Nothing. Called again and it was the same exact routine. Waited another week. Nothing. Called again and went through the same routine for a 3rd time. This time I got an email from FedEx confirming the machine is expected to arrive today. I don't want to even open it at this point. Anyone want to buy a NIB Crosswave? $50. They sent me a survey about my experience. You can guess how that went. The first question was whether I could understand the CS rep, so they know they have a problem with their overseas call center, which was like talking to a non-English speaking person in a bowling alley.

So fresh and so clean, cordless is awesome, vacuum and mop at the same time is great
Edit: two week update. my apartment is much cleaner, it's so much easier to use this than a plug in vacuum and a mop, and then you realize how gross old mops really are. apartment overall is cleaner bc the floors are. original: I have a cat, he doesn't mind this vacuum and hated my other one. I have a thick carpet and this is able to vacuum and steam it. so my cat doesn't hate this vacuum, he just watches it. This is my first cordless vacuum, and my apartment has a lot of corners, so that's also really fantastic, I don't think I'd get a wired vacuum again. it got all the kitty litter off the floor, all the dust out, picked up more than my old plug in vacuum, the apartment smells great. I realized how gross old fashion mops were when I used this, bc I vacuumed and mopped my floor, but you're taking a dirty thing, even if you wash it, and putting it in yucky water, steam sanitizes and takes care of pet allergens so it's great if you have friends with pet allergies. it also cleaned some cat vomit off my white carpet, so it paid for itself on day 1, 6 out of 5 stars. I can't recommend it enough. The battery life is 30 minutes, this is the only drawback, but that's bc I bought the one for a thick rug, if you have a thick rug you need this... but it's so easy to setup, pick it up and go, I find myself just keeping the place a lot cleaner. I have used a less powerful shark one, I got this one on sale for the same price, this got up more, it's meant for pets, so there is a pet cleaning solution. I think this is why the battery life is shorter, but I don't need a corded vacuum or a mop anymore, so overall I'll have less stuff, and the place is cleaner and has less allergens.

Good as a floor vacuum, less good as a floor washer
I've had this for awhile now, and I've used it several times. I gave it 4 stars because, as a hardwood floor vacuum, it does a good job. The battery lasts a long time, the suction is good, the motor is quiet, the freedom from a power cord is awesome, and it maneuvers well (although it has a high profile and does not fit under furniture as well as some units might). It is easy to empty and the filter works well. The things I don't like as much include the need to wash the filter and let it dry overnight (it doesn't seem to really get clean, and I worry about mildew growing in the folds of the filter fabric). Also, I'm not as impressed with the unit as a floor washer. Yes, you can add water and have the soft brush "scrub" your floor. However, it's a huge pain. Every time you do that, you then have to completely disassemble everything and wash each piece, thoroughly wash the soft scrubber brush, and then let everything dry out overnight (and the soft scrubber brush usually takes about 2 more days to dry out completely, before you can put it back in the unit). Plus, I didn't think it did a super great job with scrubbing/cleaning the floors. I honestly got better results with my Swiffer Wet Jet. So now I use the unit only for dry floor vacuuming, then I go over the floors again with the Wet Jet. It felt like too much of a hassle to box it all up and send it back for a refund, so I just kept it (I needed a new floor vacuum anyway)....but if I could do it over again, I would have saved myself the money and got a less expensive unit that only did dry floor vacuuming.

Game changer for hard floors and quick clean ups
I’m honestly impressed with this cleaner. It vacuums and mops at the same time, which saves so much time, especially with everyday messes. It works great on my hard floors and picks up dirt, crumbs, and even sticky spots without needing multiple passes. The cordless design makes it super easy to move around, and it’s not too heavy. The dirty water tank shows just how much it’s picking up, which is satisfying (and a little gross in a good way). Cleanup is simple, and I like that it has a self cleaning feature. Battery life has been solid for my space.

Vacuum yes! Mop, Not so much
Purchased this because I was looking for something compact since I live in a small 1br apartment- all vinyl plank flooring. I have 2 small dogs and even though I clean their paws in the sink with soap and water after every outing and remove my shoes before I enter, the floor manages to collect a lot of dust, dander, and some of all of our collective hair (they’re Shih Tzus and I keep their hair short). Prior to this mopvac I cleaned the floors by hand with a vinegar & water solution with lemongrass oil. It smells lovely, and the best part is the floors get really clean and this doesn’t require any dry time or rinse. I had high hopes for a 2 in 1 appliance. The 3 stars are for the vacuum. I was impressed going over the floors after I had hand cleaned them the day before at how many small particles it had picked up. The mop function however is severely lacking for me. I used the sanitize solution and turned on the mop function after I had vacuumed the entire space. I managed to vacuum and then mop about 3/4 of the 670sf space before I had to place it back on the base to charge and finish mopping. I charged it, finished mopping, then let the floors completely dry before testing out the cleanliness. I had left the floors untouched for 2 days prior to this and the kitchen being our high traffic area was where I tested first. I sprayed my regular solution with a microfiber cloth and was bummed out that the floors were not clean at all. I hand cleaned all the floors after they dried and I will be returning this and possibly getting a vac and separate steam mop. It might make more sense because steam actually sanitizes without having to purchase re-fill solutions. I would have been happy to purchase the bissell solutions if the performance was there. The design is nice and compact and it runs quiet. Just not getting the floors clean enough for me!

Where has this been all my life?
I splurged on a crosswave after surgery because I couldn’t lift my mop bucket - only to realize I have deprived myself for far too long. This machine is my best friend. We live in a subtropic environment. We have so much sand, and tropical downpours in the afternoons. Add kids and pets to the mix and my tile floors are always a disaster. I can’t afford to not clean them but bending to use the dustpan and lifting my spin mop bucket were no-go’s following surgery. We got the cross wave and tried it out the same day and I thought “this isn’t half bad.” A couple of days later, knocked over a 16 oz glass filled with a freshly made iced latte. Shattered glass, ice, and coffee covered my kitchen. I picked up the big pieces of glass and set to work with the crosswave. I started by just vacuuming it. I did have to empty the dirty liquid compartment when done which revealed chunked of glass (easy to knock out from the float device that caught them). Once that was done I ran a clean and then mopped the floor with it. Just to be sure I went back over the kitchen with my broom and did find one small Piece of glad that the cross save didn’t pick up (It may have been under the fridge or In a corner). At that point - seeing how easily I cleaned up a huge mess despite my limitations - I was sold. I have had my cross wave for 3 weeks and use it every other day or so (sometimes more) and am astonished at how much dirt it picks up. Today when I cut ap a watermelon and a have landed on the floor with a big splat, I picked up the piece and quickly cleaned up the mess with the crosswave. We are a low-tox house so instead of using the bissell cleaning solution, I pre-dissolve 2 “clean” dishwasher pods into 2 liters of water and use that in the clean water compartment (this may void the warranty, so I wouldn’t suggest others do this without reading the warranty) Things I love: Easy, convenient, cleans well, easy to use my preferred cleaning solution in, even my child can use it. I also love the self clean feature Things I would change: Both clean and dirty reservoirs are small. It would be nice to see them larger but that would change the weight. It uses a lot of power - if the battery doesn’t hold up well, it won’t be much use in a few years.
