Dopro Black 2 Point ST Strat Style Guitar Tremolo Bridge Locking System

It's a great tremolo bridge. If I had a drill press, I'd have given it 5 stars for "Easy to install".Having two points is easier than drilling 6 holes for the traditional bridge, but it's not EASY if you don't have a drill press to make sure you drill in the right places and drill straight down. I made a mess of my install on one hole, and had to resort to chopsticks and wood epoxy to fill in the mistake and drill again. But I shudder at the thought of using a 6 screw tremolo and having to drill 6 holes perfectly straight without a drill press. I'd take this 2 point option any day.My mistake is not the fault of the bridge, so if you can use a drill better than I can, or have a drill press, you should love this bridge.

Almost everything about this bridge is fantastic. You can't beat the price, and it does exactly what it's meant to do. It is very stable and keeps tune very well (with 11 gauge strings).The only reason for the four star review is that the build quality isn't as hefty as I would like. It's not solid steel, and the tremolo bar seems a little thin. I'll be upgrading to a nicer brand model when I can afford it, but that's solely due to weight and feel preference. This bridge, although lightweight, certainly gets the job done and exceeds expectations.

Price vs cuality

Everything with the bridge is fine. Fits Squire, trem no so much. It needs to be shaved down to fit in the plate on the rear of the guitar. What isn’t is the two mounting screws. They do not fit the factory threaded barrel nut and you have to press the old nut out and instal with the provided shafts. Smith needed. I had to take the plate from this kit and the trem from another squire kit and retrofit together to get one working Squire Strat bridge/trem the only other black bridge available that even says it’s for a squire is not. However the trem is the right height for squire. Good luck on your build.

nice build quality, good chrome finish. no problems installing on gfs strat body.

Not a lot of resonance and is a bit, tinny I think due to the very thin and light tremblock. No issues installing other than the indent for the left hand mount is very small so you have to have a perfect fit for it not to slip out.

Fit and finish are good and it arrived in perfect shape and as described. I did replace the saddles with roller saddles as a matter pf personal preference.

built solid, perfect the hobbyist or casual player. Works great with a set of cheap locking tuners.
