“The first time my desktop loaded, I thought the monitor was off.”
I’ve kept my desktop pure black for years: auto-hide taskbar, no desktop icons, minimal everything. When I powered on this OLED and my desktop loaded, I genuinely thought the monitor was off. I moved the mouse and the cursor appeared, and that’s when it hit me. I had been lied to for over 20 years about what “black” was supposed to look like. Every LCD I’ve ever owned was just bright gray pretending. My ultimate “aha” moment was setting VSR to 4K and watching an LG OLED demo from the 8K Clarity channel on YouTube in HDR. That’s when it finally clicked what people mean by depth. Blacks aren’t just dark, they disappear. Bright elements don’t glow through a backlight, they feel like they exist independently in space. Blacks can be too dark if you want, but the settings are there to tune it. With the right HDR configuration, bright highlights feel like actual light, not just higher brightness. Poor tuning can make HDR look blown out, but when dialed in, it’s unreal. Motion clarity is another quiet flex. I went from 180 Hz to 240 Hz, and while high FPS always feels good, OLED motion feels sharper and more physical. Everything snaps. Games like Returnal, Death Stranding, and cinematic director’s-cut style titles feel cleaner and more intentional. Once you feel it, going back to a traditional display feels wrong. Color surprised me most. It’s not just vivid, it’s honest. Reds, sunlight, and HDR highlights stood out immediately, but nothing felt artificial. It manages to feel cinematic and accurate at the same time, which is rare. For desktop work, it’s fantastic. Dark mode feels natural, text is crisp, and the screen just disappears when you’re focused. I am mindful about static elements. I keep dark mode on and avoid leaving static images up, but the monitor includes burn-in protection. I once thought I had folder burn-in, but it turned out to be temporary ghosting. A quick pixel refresh and habit adjustment solved it completely. Gaming on this display is transformative. All games benefit, not just HDR showcases. Everything looks cleaner, more dimensional, and more intentional. It doesn’t just make games prettier, it makes them feel new again. Bottom line: You don’t realize how compromised image quality has been your entire life until you use OLED. Once you experience this level of fidelity, contrast, and motion clarity, it’s extremely hard to accept anything less. This display is for people who want the best image available, full stop.

Absolutely Stunning OLED Monitor! ⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is easily one of the best upgrades I've made to my gaming setup. The OLED display is absolutely stunning, with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible contrast that make every game look amazing. (You will have to mess with the settings to find the perfect image that suits you) The 240Hz refresh rate and near instant 0.03ms response time make gameplay feel incredibly smooth and responsive, especially in competitive games. Everything looks sharp, motion is crystal clear, and I noticed a big improvement in the overall gaming experience. I use this monitor with 2 other 27-inch monitors and It's great for gaming, watching videos, and everyday use. If you're hesitant about trying OLED don't be, this was my first OLED monitor and it has completely transformed my setup. I highly recommend this one. I've had it for 9 months now and haven't noticed any burn ins and I've used this monitor for long gaming/media sessions. This monitor has been worth every penny and has completely transformed my setup.

Fantastic OLED Monitor for Windows - LG continues to impress me.
Before this monitor I had another LG 34" which was from a few generations ago. I thought that was the best monitor I've ever owned, and until I got this one it was in fact the best monitor I'd ever owned. This monitor exceeds that one in every way imaginable, and by every metric. The colors fly off the screen they seem more real, less muddy than my previous backlight based monitor. The blacks, I had no idea what blacks could be like. I thought "Really how good could it be?".. But trust me, once you have actual black as your base reference every thing else feels more real somehow. The colors seem to come to life. Games I've played, videos I've watch with my prior monitor seem better and newer. This is not hyperbole, it lends dimension beyond just being black. This screen is 240Hz refresh rate and I'm sure that translate to some gaming metrics, personally I play a lot of ARPG games and some other single player games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Forbidden West for example. So for me I don't really see any difference between my previous 160Hz and this 240Hz with the exception being GtG performance which scene transitions in games and movies is seamless and wonderful. You may notice the additional frame rates in FPS games but I don't play those so I can't say. For what I do, it does it flawlessly. In terms of size and weight this monitor is similar to my previous LG monitor however it is thinner, but I use a monitor arm and not the stand it comes with so thickness doesn't make much difference to me. The LED lights on the back don't do anything for me personally but I use Govee monitor lights for screen color during movies and gaming so I don't really need to use the built RGB lights in the back. The bezel is thinner than my previous LG monitor at the sides which I do like aesthetically. I was concerned about OLED but this monitor has a suite of monitor care you have to enable in settings but I feel that they will certainly help with the burn issues with OLED (at least I hope so). Just know the settings I'm talking about do not come turned on by default and you'll need to enable them yourself which I suggest you do as they are meant to prevent the burn in issues. I really only have one complaint with this monitor at this point, and it's nitpicking but it's the menu button control. It's on the back of the monitor. It's easy enough to reach but my hand cramps if I have to use it for a prolonged period of time (which honestly after you set this up you don't have to touch it again really). But my previous LG has the bottom at the bottom of the monitor and I have to be honest I found it easier to use than the one of this monitor. But I'm nit picking like I said. One last thing, if you use Windows (I have never used a Mac in my life) you'll want to make sure to set your Sharpness settings to 55 and then setup Windows Clear Type and also the HDR profile (the one from RTINGS is SDR only). You'll have to download the HDR utility from the Microsoft store (Windows 11 did it automatically for me). I also found the default a bit to yellow for my liking and put the manual color temp to C2 which looks better to my eyes (whites look white to me now). Anyway with the above adjustments (sans the color temp one) my text looks as good to me as my previous LG monitor did and I have no complaints anymore. Honestly, if you're in the market for a new monitor and your budget allows for it you should seriously consider this one. This is my 2nd LG monitor (two in a row) and they haven't let me down yet.

Great monitor with sneaky adware
Great monitor but LG is now pushing software to all users though windows updates that sneakily sends all of your screen data back to them. Sure you don't have to install it and most informed users probably won't. But there are a lot out there that will blindly install it. And they also set you up with McAfee! Software no one has liked or preferred in 20 years. If I would have known they were willing to act this way towards consumers I would have bought another brand. Buyer beware.

Must have monitor
This is probably the best monitor you can get imo for the price and quality. It’s sleek and nice and even tho imo the back light is pointless it’s still cool. Setting it up is fairly simple and I used some guides to find settings I’d like and fit how I like to play. The stand is great and sliding the monitor up and down is super simple and a great feature. The curve is my favorite part it’s aggressive and it’s great you can see so much without moving your eyes. And it’s being 1440p and 240 is great for pretty much anything you’d need to use if fit. And it’s been 7 months since I bought it and no burn in at all from the oled I’d recommend searching up what image cleaning option to use just to make sure you get the longevity of the monitor. I definitely recommend it in my opinion it’s a really safe option as I spent hours searching for the right monitor.

Love it!
After getting an LG OLED TV a while back, I knew my next monitor would have to be one as well. PROS: - Beautiful picture, which should be standard for OLED displays anyhow, but it's always worth mentioning what you're really paying for - As a gaming monitor it checks all the bells and whistles (G-SYNC, FreeSync, yadda yadda, just like my LG C2 TV) - This is my first curved monitor and it does draw me in more than flat, but I also find myself sitting a little further back so I don't have to turn my head as much. - Got it for a steal of a price. It was labeled as "very good" condition from Amazon Warehouse. It had some marks on the back, but they wiped off with a damp cloth and it had only an hour of use (you can view this in the menu screen). CONS: - Text can show some artifacting, haloing, whatever you want to call it. I only notice it with some white backgrounds (Text program, for instance), but websites with white backgrounds look fine. - It was difficult to find the physical menu button, seriously, I felt around the monitor and looked all over the internet for a picture or instructions and nothing. I came across it by accident. It's a little nub at the bottom in the center near the connections panel facing towards the back. Reach up and towards yourself, if facing the screen. - I don't think you can adjust the brightness of the light in the back. I barely notice it, even in a dark room.

Great monitor, no firmware updates.
Updating firmware IS NOT possible. I bought this in October of 2024, so I've owned it for 1 year. For the most part this monitor has been great, everything you'd expect from a good OLED monitor. But I've had 1 major issue. When I first bought it, I used HDMI because that allows the monitor to run at 3440x1440P at 240HZ without any DSC (Display Stream Compression) and the only issue that I've had while using HDMI is that when waking my PC from sleep mode, or sometimes even when just booting my PC, the monitor will not display anything until it gets fully powered off or sometimes I would have to unplug the power and plug it back in for it to start working. This is a big issue so I switched to using Display Port with DSC which has worked fine which is good, and the DSC is not at all noticeable. But I question why there isn't ANY firmware updates for this monitor. When I bought it, it came with version 3.01, there has been other firmware updates since then that other people have because their monitor was manufactured later than mine. Others and I have tried many different ways of updating the firmware for the monitor and nobody has been able to do it. This isn't what I expect from LG, and I'm worried about how long this monitor will last without any firmware updates. Other than this, the monitor is great.

Don't listen to people and buy it!
My previous monitor was a normal VA 1440p screen from LG. I took about 3 days to make a decision on what monitor to get, I knew I wanted an Oled, 240hz or more, and 1440p. I work from home and I play competitive FPS games (Apex, COD, Rainbow 6, and Overwatch 2). Let me tell you, I do not regret buying this! I have a decent rig 4080, 7950x, 32 gb ddr5 and I am still getting 200 plus frames in most of the games that I play. And if I wanted to get really sweaty I still have the option to play at 16:9 or 16:10 with the black bars on the side, given that it's an oled it doesn't really bother me. Now the image quality on this display is amazing! A lot of other reviews from people where saying that this monitor should have been 4k but at that point you won't really get the full 240hz ability, even with a very strong gpu. The monitor does have a matte finish but as you can see in the images my monitor is Infront of a window but even when my room is lit the image quality is still bright and there are no problems to view. When viewing texts I honestly don't think it's as bad as people make it up to be. You can read it plain and simple and if you are upgrading this from an old panel or a 1080 p I guarantee you it's going to look better or maybe as good. So don't let that be a point from preventing you from getting this. I do want to mention I did get this monitor on Sale, I see that LG frequently drops the price on this so I would say keep an eye but if drops below 1100 pull the trigger and get this thing! The other option if you want more connectivity (USB C display) is the ASUS PG34WCDM but you are going to be paying around 1400 usd after taxes. If you are a big baller I would say go for that one, it's beautiful. However, this one is still very good looking and the stand it comes with appears to be more sturdy and more cable manageable.
