Very easy to use, just hold it about an inch from the forehead and press the button. Readings take just a second. People in my household measured what I expected them to be.This kind of thermometer isn't as accurate as an oral thermometer, but much faster and easier to use. I keep both kinds in my household medical kit.It can also be used as a general IR thermometer. It includes a detailed manual.

Great for health care worker

Simple to use. Seems roughly accurate, which is the best one can expect for a cheap home thermometer. Came with batteries, so it's good to go, right out of the box. I would recommend for anyone who needs to keep track. 1 bit of advice -- for the most accurate reading, place as close as possible without making contact. An inch away, it's going to read a little low. That's not a flaw. Just the nature of the technology.

I bought the black one. Maybe its the problem, cause the black model is marked at discount and cheaper. Looks like everyone is shipped one of about 5 different models/designs.Produces completely random temperature digits.I am sick, and I need to verify if I have a fever or not.This device states my forehead temp was 97.7F. With differing results every minute.97.7F, 97.7F, 97.9F, 97.9F, 98.0F, 98.0F...I decide to test my brother, whom is not sick. He first forehead test was 97.3F, then 97.5F, then 97.4F.I take a reading from the back of his hand of 97.3F, 97.2F, 95.7F (wtf), then 97.2F,reading the memory: 1# 97.8, 2# 97.2, 3# 97.1, 4# 97.2, 5# 97.1, 6# 97.1, 7# 97.1, 8# 95.7, 9# 97.2, 10# 97.3, 11# 97.4, 12# 97.4, 13# 97.2, 14# 97.6, 15# 97.5, 16# 97.5, 17# 97.5, 18# 97.3, 19# 97.7, 20# 98.0, 21# 98.0, 22# 97.9, 23# 97.9, 24# 97.7, 25# 97.7, 26# 98.0, 27# 98.1, 28# 97.3, 29# 97.3, 30# 97.3, 31# 97.3, #32 97.8, 33# 97.8, #34 97.7, 35# 97.8.Each reading was 1 minute apart. One of the readings was 95.7?!Healthy people do not have a temperature of 97.4F.This would work better if it was a candy dispenser with a sticker reading the exact same temperature on everything.Other reviews stated on temperature gauges that it was so cheap they weren't going to return it. That's encouraging both scammers and toxic business practices to not improve their product, as they have collected money for faulty equipment. This product states it is "For Humans", implying it meets some sort of federal regulation! But this device has not gone through any sort of quality assurance testing whatsoever. You all need to return your faulty products to force these shady business practices to up their game and stop tolerating incompetence. What you've done is "Good times create weak humans. Weak humans produce bad times". Hope you're all proud of what part you've taken to weaken all of humanity. I'm leaving a negative review to inform others. I am refunding my purchase to demonstrate that I do not toleration incompetence. Not ONE temperature device (even thermometers) on this platform has a perfect review score. This is the bad times spoken about.
