SOG a good quality brand
Good knife for the price - Extremely sharp. SOG makes good reliable equipment. I would buy again. Not to big and a good pocket knife. LOTs of knives out there - cheap knife is a cheap knife. A known name brand is usually best.

Feather Weight 3" Folder
This is an insanely lightweight folder for a 3" blade. At this price point, (in 2026), you'll typically be looking at liner locks with D2 steel and G10 handles. The Adventurer takes a different route, it opts for a traditionally placed lock back, cheaper/softer steel (5CR15MOV), and a GRN handle. Still solid entry materials. The result is a feather weight folder (~61g for me out of box) made of decent materials, should stand up to reasonable abuse, and is easily at least 25% lighter than other knives at this price point. It's comfortable and easy to forget it's in your pocket. VERY minor horizontal blade play, but a drastic improvement over older SOG's that were around this price a decade ago (looking at you, Flash 1). Factory edge is great, razor sharp out of the box. The only MAJOR drawback is the traditional placement of the lock back makes this a bit difficult to open and close with one hand. It can be done, but not in a smooth, elegant way. This is a major requirement for an EDC, personally. If lock placement was more in the middle, like a Spyderco, I'd have less hesitation on a full 5 stars at the price point. I have a feeling the traditional placement design aids in making this such a sturdy design for it's weight and price. If weight is important for you, at this price point, I still wouldn't hesitate to recommended the Adventurer.

Exactly what I was looking for as a gift
This knife was just as described and made a great gift. It feels lightweight but sturdy, and the lock-back mechanism works smoothly. The size is perfect for carrying around, and the overall quality really impressed the person I gave it to. Definitely a solid choice for anyone who needs a dependable everyday knife.

Good, basic everyday knife. Very light.
Picked this up for about twenty bucks. Good for the price. A bit of a stiff open that I expect will improve with time. Blade is a good length about a hand's width, suitable for daily use. Comes decently sharp. Coating seems durable so far. Lock is very solid with no play, so feels great to use, no worries about closure. Handle texture is nice and holds grip well. The product title is spot-on, this is a very light feeling knife, helped by the lack of assisted opening. I prefer the slightly heavier feel of the SOG Flash or my Benchmades, but I can also see that if a person wanted a very light knife for carry this would suit their needs. So light you might forget it is in your pocket.
