Clore Automotive Jump-N-Carry JNC1224 3400/1700 Peak Amp 12/24V Jump Starter

I purchased two of these over the past 4 months for two different locations. This thing is a beast! It is heavy, first and foremost. This is not a toy. It is not a small lithium ion starter you buy from HF. This jump box is well built, and strong and will start just about anything! I literally started a Cat 977 with two dead batteries and the machine had not been run in years. This jump box did not even flinch! I have started many trucks, from F250's up the tandem dump trucks without any problems. You get what you pay for and this is a good value for the month. It is simple, no frills, no modern electronics but it does the job and does it very well. Know what you are doing when you use it because there is a lot of power coming from this box.

The absolute best jump pack on the market. It’s a simplistic powerhouse, and I happen to love the analog voltage meter. It’s no frills, and all business. The ones with the inflators, and lights don’t hold up, or perform, and typically are way overrated. While this one is a bit heavier than lithium packs, don’t have the capacity for extended long cranks which you’ll get with the JNC950. The 660 is a monster also and plenty for cars and truck, I’m using the 950 for diesels and doesn’t blink even at temps of 0 and below. Worth the money and also has a replaceable battery. A++ buy

I purchased a JNC 660 a while back and so far so good for powering 12 V DC items through it's DC port. Thankfully I have not had to use it for jumpstarting any vehicle so the jury is still out as far as performance as a jumpstarter. I decided to purchase the much larger / higher battery capacity JNC 950. My JNC 660 arrived fully charged. This 950 arrived with the Battery Status Gauge showing a full charge of 13.5 V. I plugged a small portable CB radio with a CLA adapter into the DC socket on the side of this unit and to my surprise there was NO power at all. I tried a second small device in the DC socket and again NO power. I decided to charge the unit a full 24 hours as per the instructions through the AC wall plug.Once again NO power at the DC socket. Either the DC socket is defective or the Battery Status Gauge is defective or finally the battery may be defective. I have not tested the battery in this unit. Clore Manufacturing is closed on weekends so I have to wait until Monday morning to hear from them. Due to Amazon's Hazardous Material "NON" Return Policy they will not take the item back, which is ridiculous in itself because it is OK for Amazon to ship hazardous material to paying customers but it is not OK for customers to ship hazardous items back to Amazon for a refund ??? At the moment I am stuck with a $300.00 paper weight, not to mention the fact that it is going to cost me a small fortune to ship this garbage back to Clore. UPDATE: The people at Clore were very supportive and understanding about the issue with this unit. I sent it back and within one week I had a NEW unit with a working DC socket. The old unit had been shipped without a Negative(-)lead connected to the DC socket.

Stopped working after 2 months – can’t start my truck anymore! I bought the Clore Automotive JNC1224 jump starter in December 2024. At first, it worked great — strong power, easy to use, and seemed reliable. But after only 2 months of use, it completely stopped charging. Now it won’t hold any charge at all and is completely useless when I try to jump-start my truck. I rely on this tool for work, and it let me down at a critical time. This is a $380+ product — I expected much better durability. Pros (while it worked): – Strong initial power – Easy to carry and use Cons: – Stopped working after 2 months – Won’t charge or jump-start anymore

Finally a jump start that works! 900 CCA AGM battery that was fully dead!! I'm replacing the battery but I can start the car to get it moved without a tow truck company/service. Cable length could be longer but it doesnt make me rate it less. Worth the money!!! Shipped fast.

If you need a powerful jump starter with the capability to be an alternate power source for 12 VDC products this is it. It is a little large but If you want to run a portable cooler or similar device for nearly 8 hours at a shot this is the best with 32 amp hours of reserve power. We used it to power our cooler and keep our food cold and milk fresh when our car was parked and we were touring various sights on a 6000 mile 22 day adventure vacation. We would power the cooler from the car when we were driving but to avoid draining the car battery down when the car was parked we would use the Jump-N-Carry. At night in the hotel rooms we would recharge the Jump-N-Carry and power the cooler from AC. We paid for the price of the Jump Start with the left over restaurant food we saved in the cooler to eat later. This product will be with us for a long time for a supplemental 12 VDC supply and as an emergency jump start unit. The Jump-N-Carry is really great product.

I have had many smaller lithium jumper packs. Including ones rated for diesels. They all died after less than 1 winter. I have had smaller lead acid ones like this. They worked for mowers and 4 wheelers, not pickups. This one I use to start everything with it. Not big enough to use alone on a semi with 3 dead 1000 CCA batteries and below zero F temps. It sure helps. It keeps working after trying. This situation is a lithium jumper pack killer. The built in charger did die in it. I charge it with a battery charger. Hook the big jumper clamps to battery charger jumper clamps and charge it. It works.
