Kuhn Rikon Swiss Metal Peeler 4”, Stainless Steel

This is just the best peeler. I’ve used tons of options, including of course oxo / Misen / Rosle / WS, and this one has been the best so far

Fabulous tool! Definitely a great value for my money. The speed I can peel my fruits and vegetables is great, easy to clean, the size is good and is thick and sturdy. Fun for me to use on such a boring task.

Great peeler! Probably the sharpest peeler that I have ever used. I haven't tried it on thick, tough skinned vegetables like a hard-skinned squash (like acorn or butternut squash), but it works great on the veggies that I've tried it on (cucumbers, carrots, lemons, etc.). Takes much less effort than any other peeler that I've used - it just glides through the peel. When I used it to cut strips of zest off a lemon, it did a beautiful job. Nice, wide strips. Easy to control, and it doesn't start digging into the white pith. When peeling a cucumber, there's no real drag as the peeler removes the peel - it feels almost like you're just waving your hand over the vegetable!The only negative that I have with it is that the frame/handle just doesn't feel up to the quality of the blade. I paid a little extra for the metal version (I looked at the plastic ones in a cooking supply store, and they just seemed loo disposable, reminding me of the free toy you get in a fast food Happy Meal...), but it's just a thin, stamped piece of cheap sheet metal. I don't know if they're designed this way because they're meant to be the equivalent of a disposable razor, or for some other reason, but I do feel that a blade this good deserves a much nicer frame/handle.

Never rated a peeler before but this one deserves a 5 stars. Got it based on a video from Josh Weissman recommending this as the only peeler you should buy. I’m thinking how is this better than any other peeler? I tried it and it peels so much faster than any other new peeler I’ve ever used.

While Kuhn Rikon is an all-time favorite brand, this peeler is defective, making it unusable. I contacted Amazon to exchange my item, but was provided a Contact Us link to Kuhn Rikon. I provided the requested information, and sent it off. All I received was an emailed copy of my Contact form with no acknowledgement, no response nor course of action from the manufacturer. I did get an email from Amazon asking me how it went, but that's of little help or comfort.

I was always frustrated with my vegetable peelers, so I started buying better and better ones. I probably have a dozen now. Most are just “OK”, and there are a couple of good ones. However, this peeler is the one that I seek out most often. The design isn’t that unusual but the quality is. Get one!

It is OK - but for the iconic Brand, is a bit disappointing in material quality and ergonomics.

I LOVE this peeler!! So much so that I have two! It's sharp, works well, and has lasted over 10 years. In that time, it hasn't dulled or rusted. I bought another one just for ease that two people can peel potatoes at the same time. When I go to someone elses' house and use their peeler I'm always frustrated because I'm so used to how great mine is and theirs always SUCK! Fantastic peeler!
