The CLIP
I searched many a store to find a simple, elegant clip that wasn't a strange shape (square, oblong) or looked like something that would suit a youth in the shape of a butterfly, with rhinestones or a set of 6 not needed clips, and finally, I saw this clip on Amazon. It was French, it was one clip only, and it had classic, elegant, womanly style. It holds my hair back, as a clip is supposed to do and does so quite well. The color is a lovely tortoise and looks so well with my brunette hair color. The CLIP is just what was needed in this hair world where we have so much but need something quite simple.

This ended up being smaller than I expected. It ended up not mattering though. I am able to pull back all of my hair with it. It’s elegant looking.

Great clip for fine hair.
This black French hair clip works very well for my thin, fine hair. I’ve had a hard time finding a clip that actually holds my hair in place, and this one stayed secure when I wore it. I’ve only used it once so far, but it seems promising and well made. I’m not sure how it would perform on thick hair, but for fine hair, it has worked nicely.

Too small, overpriced and flimsy
I have superfine hair and this is still too small to hold all my hair in one twist. It is pretty but useless, and far too expensive, as another reviewer said, very thin plastic. Save your money for something better.

The spring ... not strong enough grip
It says for thick hair but it did not hold mine up. My hair is well down to my waist and I still have a lot of it. This is more holding thick hair away from one's face. I suppose if I had less hair, or if it was shorter, it might work ok. Clips are only as good as the strength of the spring... this one is too weak. The color is very nice and shiny and match my hair well. =((
