This Tennessee Red sauce by Blues Hog is awesome! It has a building heat that’s starts low and can turn to a medium heat depending on the fat content of what you have put the sauce on. Its main flavor profile is sweet-spicy-tangy with hints of black pepper, chiles, tomatoes, and apple. It is an apple cider vinegar based sauce fortified with some tomato sauce. It is slightly thicker than an Eastern North Carolina sauce and thinner than a Kansas City sauce. This Tennessee Red sauce is awesome on chicken wings and pork chops! Crispy skin of air fryer chicken wings hold the sauce very well. My favorite thing about this sauce besides the awesome taste is this Tennessee Red sauce does not have garlic in it. Anyone who is bothered by the nasty after taste of garlic or has a sensitive digestive system will love this sauce because it has NO GARLIC! Thank you Blues Hog!

Just a hint of heat. Not enough to make light-weights fear it, and enough for those who enjoy some heat to be satisfied. Everyone wins! Also, the vinegar base is very tangy. I usually mix this with the regular sauce at about a 3:1 ratio (reg to Tenn Red). Adds a little vinegar tangy and heat to the regular. Makes things go a long way.

Great flavor with a touch of heat. Be forewarned that this is a thin sauce.

This is the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had in my entire life. And I grew up in Eastern NC. It is tangy, vinegary, peppery, and a little sweet. Yum 😋.

It’s literally a marinate. It’s Completely a watery marinate consistency. If you’re looking for a dipping sauce(which it says it is) this is not for you.

It really wasn't what I expected out of a typical BBQ sauce because it is not very thick. However it does have an attractive flavor that can still be used for marinating which is what I did. It's a good marinade for pork in particular.

This is a thinner sauce but the flavor is there. It's better than baby ray's by far or any other major brand.

I absolutely love this stuff! It's without a doubt my favorite sauce for my pulled pork sandwiches. To me it adds just a splash of heat and a ton of flavor and it has brought my smoke outs from being a big hit to being a smash hit over here in England where I'm stationed (I love Brits, but they have NO clue what actual BBQ is lol). When I have a BBQ for 30 to 40 people, they typically use 3/4 of a jar to a jar of this stuff so the proof is in the pudding as they say on how good this is!
