What could the other 2% be?** A: I can't say for certain, but since sucralose is made from sucrose (sugar) by exchanging three chlorine atoms three oxygen atoms in the molecule. I would suppose the 2% might be unconverted sugar. The minimal change in the sucrose molecule results in sugar sweetness, but sucralose is not utilized for energy in the body (ie contributes no calories) because it is not broken down like sucrose. It passes rapidly through the body virtually unchanged. This is also why the nut cases claiming it causes all sorts of health issues make no sense. Sucralose does not effect the body (other than tasting sweet) because it is not metabolized by the body. **Q: Why the change in brand and increase in price?** A: When Tate and Lyle (splenda) had the patent it was over $500 per Kilo. I'm not complaining now. **Q: What sweetness is the little spoon that comes with equvalent to?** A: I am old and have lost much of my taste for sweetness. For cereal, where I needed two heaping tablespoons of sugar or 6 packlets of Equal, I need about one third of the little scoop that came with the sucralose which is 600 times as sweet as sugar. With the 100% aspartame powder, which is about 1/3 the sweetness of sucralose, I need about 3 full scoops which gives it a somewhat bitter taste. But I consider it important for nutrition labels to be correct. The label says it contains 66667 servings but it actually contains 6667 servings. It makes no real difference since I have to measure out what I’m using, but incorrect info on the nutrition label is bad. I am not even saying I wouldn’t buy this again… i I do and the label is fixed I would change the rating ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great taste in a smaller amount! *by on Reviewed in the United States 7 April 2025* The mini scoop that comes with this is 1/16th of a teaspoon. It takes 16 level mini scoops to equal a 1/2 teaspoon. I included a picture of the miniscoop next to a half teaspoon. The package states that one serving is equal to 2 teaspoons of sugar. I'm assuming serving is a mini scoop because the package doesn't say if the miniscoop is a serving size but it states15 milligrams is a serving size. I compared this to Bulk Supplements Aspartame I was using and I like it. With the Aspartame i would use a 1/2 teaspoon for 2 exact measured cups of coffee. With this sucrolose i only need 2 miniscoops wich is 2/16 of a half teaspoon. Plenty sweet for me and I like my coffee sweet. Past co workers used to watch me put sugar in my coffee and tell me to have coffee with my sugar. They had nothing better to do than watch me put sugar in my coffee. I used to tell them to look away if they don't like it. I did put alot of sugar in coffee but if they saw me use this they wouldn't have anything to comment about. The nutrition facts state 0 carbohydrates and 0 sugars so I call this a definite win for losing weight with a diet. I prefer this over Aspartame because the cost is good and It will last a long time because I use alot less than Aspartame to have thee same sweet taste. I will order again.
