ULTRA! It sure is!
LOVE this watch. Large case size, with a screen to match. Battery life is fantastic. Definitely commands a presence, on the wrist. If you already have an apple watch, then the functionality is pretty much the same. Maybe a few more activity related functions.

Awesome watch
Couldn’t not be happier with this about a year into the purchase. Tested 190 degrees for 20 minutes in sauna and no overheating

Put it off for years… worth the wait.
I considered many versions of Apple Watches, but never saw enough pluses, or lack of minuses, to get me to buy one. Having to charge every day was a hurdle I couldn’t get past. I’ve used Fitbit Sense watches for several years, and they provide an average 4 days of charge, though far less integration with my iPhone. I purchased a Series 9 watch for my wife as a Christmas gift, also her first Apple Watch. She loves it, and has told me often I needed one. So when I broke the face of my watch, I researched Apple (again) and found the Ultra 2. On paper, it had all I needed and much more than I currently had. Free shipping and returns, so I tried it. I’m glad I waited for this model. The larger face fits my wrist without looking clownish, the screen keeps all I need to see without having to delve into menus. Like my phone, I can just ask Siri to open apps, send messages, make calls, or start a timer. And it lasts at least 3 days on a charge, so health metrics include sleep data. Compared to a good standard watch, it’s not overly expensive. It can do more than I’ll need, but more importantly does what I want. So far it is the best watch I’ve ever owned. If anything happens to change that, I’ll be back here to let you know. Easy 5 Stars for the Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Charges fast
Love this watch. So many great features. Hope the battery product life isn’t awful. Daily battery life is good and charges fast enough so I can sleep with it.

Purchased this for a birthday gift for my dad.
My dad is in his late 70s, and gets more and more difficult to shop for with each passing year. I purchased this as a birthday gift for him to replace an Apple Watch that was a few years old. At first he asked, “Why did you buy this? I already have an Apple Watch.” After a few days he was pleasantly surprised with its performance, and appreciated the upgrade. One of the best selling features for him was the longevity of the battery life. His older watch (I think it was a model 6 or 7) needed to be charged every single day. He typically gets a few days of wear with this watch before he has to charge it again. He also appreciate the sleep tracking, and other health data.

Great product
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 is gret\at. From its robust build quality to its incredibly bright display and long-lasting battery, it truly stands out. As an avid user, I can confidently say this is a great watch that exceeds expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

Not a real fitness watch
Honestly, I hate it. I’m coming from garmin watches and they’re really better in pretty much every way. I hate that you can’t broadcast heart rate, the battery life is terrible, I do not have the same confidence in its durability as a Garmin, built in cardio apps are awful, and having all the health reminders feels a bit gimmicky at times. It’s nice having a watch with smart features that you can use for almost anything and calling or texting, but the trade isn’t worth it for me. Battery life if your active lasts about two days which is pretty annoying coming from a watch that could easily last a week. So for something like a backpacking trip this makes no sense. I will say it charges very quickly so it’s nice to be able to charge before bed and it will even remind you when you’re getting low. The problem is if you’re not quite at that threshold, then it will die mid activity the next day. I used to not car if I bumped into anything with my Garmin Fenix, usually it was the wall I was more worried about. The most that’s ever happened to it was a few scratches on the paint. This one has been good thus far with no scratches, but I baby it by comparison. If you’re into cycling, I would never buy this. Broadcasting heart rate to me is a standard feature that I didn’t even think I had to look for. It’s something Apple really needs to jump on. The fact that I’d have to have a second monitor instead of just using what’s already on my wrist is a huge let down for me. And while I’m at it running foot pods like Stryd don’t play nice and their apps suck on the watch vs the pretty seamless and much more useful data screens on the Garmin. Basically the best that you can do is set a range (your one zone) and see when you’re above or below it, or memorize your zones. But who wants to worry zones about when you’re doing sprints or zone 4/5 work. You can’t map out a run or access a gps map in their cardio apps which I don’t understand at all. Even Komoot won’t display the map. It relies on your phone and only gives turn alerts which are almost useless. A bit odd because I remember my first Apple Watch before I went Garmin would display the map when running. Maybe there is some less intuitive app that will do it, but with a Garmin it’s just there and it just works. The value for money just isn’t there. Their in house apps are terrible and have zero compatibility and they rely on app makers to do anything useful. I miss having Strava to sync ALL my workouts. Because apple workouts don’t sync unless you force each individual workout, while on the other hand, third party things like form goggles don’t sync with Apple HealthKit. The Strava app I’m not sure if it will display a map from the watch, but if it will you have to pay and I’m not interested in subscriptions to do what a Garmin does built in.
