I also justified it because I figure I can use it soon to teach my grandchildren to sew. They're toddlers now, but it won't be long before they're ready to learn. Anyhow, I read some reviews and chose this machine. I didn't know that it was made by Bernina. Right out of the box, I was able to start sewing with it. Everything is where it should be so it's kind of intuitive. Everything works well and runs smoothly. The bobbin winds perfectly. It's sews beautifully. I am super happy with it and now I'm not sure I really need that fancy, does everything machine that's packed away...
