Sierra International 82302P 0-3500 RPM Dial Range Heavy Duty Diesel Alternator Electric Tachometer, 3"

This unit is very well built. Very easy to set up and works perfectly. I was not sure of how many poles my alternator had so I picked a setting and tried it. On the third setting I got perfect results for my Yanmar diesel. 700 rpms at idle and 3000 rpms full throttle. Worth paying a bit more and getting something good!

Bought for an old Yanmar 3QM30. I installed a Balmar Alternator and including this Tachometer in the system was easy. Required slight modification of the instrument panel cutout, but otherwise one of the easiest jobs I've done on my boat. Love that I can now see my RPM!

Stopped working after only a few times but never on the road. I’m building an RV and bought this over a year ago and finally installed it a few months ago and it worked fine but this morning instead of 750 rpm’s it showed 5 rpm’s. Very unhappy.

Added this to the panel that controls my Westerbeke marine diesel engine. It looks wonderful. Love the oversized dial, which makes sense as it is the one instrument on the boat that you monitor the most. Going to add a second at the helm.

We bought all Teleflex heavy-duty series instruments, but I sourced them from different sites online trying to get the best prices. The price for the Tach was definitely the lowest on Amazon, and we have been super happy with it. It was easy to install, looks really great in the cockpit, and is sooo nice to have an RPM gauge again! Very happy overall.
