These vests tend to be very expensive (£40-50) and are advertised as medical solutions, not just clothing. The Handerdun vest comes in at under £15, which sounds like a steal, so is it any good?The answer is yes, the chest compression is good, not too tight but effective and natural looking. However, like a lot of compression vests it is a bit too tight around the waist.I'm only moderately overweight but suffer from quite bad Gynocomastia so for me chest compression is important but I don't really need the belly or love handle compression part...The main issue with this vest (like almost all compression vests) is that a man's waist cross section is naturally not round, it is oval or rectangular depending on fitness levels. All compression vests seem to give an unnatural tube like appearance to the waist (if the compression is too great), this gives the impression of a sausage.The problem is that the vest manufacturers are selling an overall solution to shaping a man's torso, however the body isn't really like that and in reality needs different compression in different areas and when it comes to a flat stomach, nothing is really going to work there anyway. So one needs to be realistic about what a vest like this can do.My advice is go a size bigger than you think you will need, this will provide the chest compression but a little more room around the waist.Bear in mind I weight train regularly and have pretty big shoulders and chest muscles so a tight vest enhances those to a degree. If you are a regular overweight or obese guy who doesn't work out and has a lot of belly fat (ie 36-38 inch waist) then no vest is going to make you look thinner. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Product! *by P***5 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 May 2017* Went for a 'Medium' whereas I wear a Large tshirt, and is doing a good job (currently sat wearing it!). Comfortable enough although naturally you'll know you're wearing a 'tight vest'. Vest extends below the waist and isn't riding up the body, seems to be staying in place. As others have said, pull the vest up your body as opposed to over your head. The outline of the vest is visible when wearing white shirts, as any vest would, so bear that in mind! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Leave alone if you suffer with reflux *by J***B on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 September 2019* This vest would be good except, as one other reviewer pointed out, if you have a bit of a belly it’s just right on the chest but too tight on the belly. This is exactly what I found. It fitted perfectly on my chest but was too tight on my belly to the point of painful. As I suffer with acid reflux this was quite a problem as I started having an attack within a couple of minutes.
