I was honestly surprised by how much I like these pens. I really got it for the purple one (purple is my favorite color but some documents I cant write in purple and came across this wonderful set). One of the coolest features is that they come in five different shades of black, which I’ve never seen before. It’s a unique touch and actually makes writing feel a bit more customizable. I’ve been using them for everyday writing for over a month, and they perform really well. The ink flows smoothly with no smudging or skipping, which makes a big difference compared to a lot of other pens I’ve tried. The lines are consistent, and they dry quickly enough that I don’t have to worry about smearing. They’re also very comfortable to hold and feel well-balanced in hand, even during longer writing sessions. Another big plus is that there’s no cap, so I don’t have to worry about losing it or dealing with taking it on and off. I store the pens tip down in a stationery and I haven't had any leakage from the pens. My only con is that the reddish one is more red than black, and the light grey one, you can tell its light grey, unlike the purple one, where you can see a hint of purple, but it is still dark enough to be considered black. Overall, these are smooth, convenient, and a little more unique than your average pen. I’d definitely recommend them for anyone looking for reliable everyday pens.

This was a good value for the money. I really wanted to try the shades of black to see which I prefer. I really like them all but love the purple black and burgundy black. I also got a set for a friend as gift. We use them in our bible study. They write well and don’t bleed through bible paper. These are my go to pens for my bible notes. They are comfortable in the hand. They don’t look cheap. I love the refills and purchase those often. The ink lasts in the pen long enough for lots of study notes.

I love the Kurt line from Pentel. The pen is sleek looking and looks more expensive than it is. The barrel is slim so if you have a big hand it could cause cramping with extended use. The pens write very smooth and is not scratchy. I have had the black only pack and they last a fair amount of time. Some of the “colors” are more noticeable than others. The crimson black being the most noticeable of having color. I use black pens most often and think I will use these more than a bright colored pen.

Oh my! These are great pens. Ink color is nice and writes smooth. And they are refillable. Would buy again if I needed to!

These go on so smooth, dry quickly, and can write on glossy surfaces like postcards

When you love pens you have lots of them of varying cost and style. With these I image you can forget the other nicer pens for this guy. It writes very well with a smooth ink. The pen does feel a bit cheap making it not a big issue if someone “borrows” it. But all in all a good no frills writing experience.

Update after six months: i have to remove half a star because I have burned through the ink on three/four pens (the ones I keep at work). I wouldn’t say I do a copious amount of writing (less than I spend typing, for sure), so this was a bit disappointing. I will be trying out the Pentel EnerGel RTX liquid gel pens to see if I can get a bit more longevity. Original review: I used to exclusively use the Pilot G2 gel pens and have switched to these. I love the very subtle hint of color that also keeps handwritten notes looking professional. They are lightweight and there is almost no ink smearing which was an issue with the Pilot pens. Another coworker has also purchased a variation of these after seeing mine. I will repurchase when these eventually run dry!

Very good pens and easy to write

Good pens, my work told me I couldn’t use my usual brown pens anymore and I could only use black. So I got these because they’re shades of black, a good work around. I do recommend keeping them upright when not using I have had a little leakage but nothing serious.
