From what I have personally found, the Aluminum rounds are far superior to most others as they are 1: much harder than the rubber/nylon, 2: much lighter then the rubber/steel, and 3: more accurate than ANY of the other varieties. I think the lack of accuracy with most of the other types (rubber/nylon particularly) may be due to the presence of a seam left from the molding process. I'm no expert on HOW these are made, but whatever processes are used, the aluminum rounds don't have that seam, meaning they are much less likely to either be snugged in the barrel or fly strangely as a result.
