The Canister Filter has a sleek and attractive design, but unfortunately, the performance doesn’t quite match the aesthetics. Priming it can be quite a challenge—it takes a lot of patience and time, which can be frustrating, especially for beginners or those looking for a quick setup. For the price point, I expected a smoother experience. In fact, I’ve used much cheaper filters that were far easier to work with. While it looks great, I can’t recommend it based on the hassle involved in getting it to work properly.

Motor died after 1.5 years

Nice looking solid construction. A bit pricey for it but the brand is generally pricier than others. Setting up neither easy nor hard.

The canister filter keeps having lots of air bubbles inside and the noise is really annoying worst than a sponge filter, and sometimes will just stop working, waste of money to be honest.

Worst aquarium purchase I ever made! Worked for about a year and after that the flow diminished so much I ended up throwing the whole lot in the garbage! Trying to clean the filter cartridges is ridiculous trying to open the bottom of a steel container, which is slippery because it’s wet and if you don’t have good grip strength in your hand,it’s an impossibility, horrible ergonomic design! Looks beautiful but I wouldn’t spend my money that way ever again!

The canister is well built and of good quality. First pump did not work, second pump was not strong enough to pull water through the canister.

pretty positive it's the motor as it'll work momentarily but then stop instantly. they should sell the parts individually since they're so expensive.
