SKW Audiophile Series 1.6ft/0.5m 2RCA to 2RCA Cable, Triple-Shielded Nylon

Well they sure feel to be well made, they look good, I like the Color. Perfect length. Turntable sounds great. They appear to be durable and good thickness. Easy to connect, solid connection. We will see how they last.

I decided to buy one of these to see if it is equal to or an improvement to the longer cable I had to temporarily use for a higher end CD player as most manufacturers include either no cable or include inferior cables to connect to an integrated amp or similar. Granted, I stated with a similarly priced cable with similar characteristics -- Gold plated ends, nice grip on the connectors, very thick cables, insulated and shielded (but not braided like this). And the price of the cable I am using is $40 (with volume discounts, normally $80). It is used primarily for recording studios, and when I bought a few for the studio, I bought a few extras for home to get a volume discount. Now to these cables. Are they better than the higher end RCA cables I was using? It depends. I like that this cable is shorter (as I like clean aesthetics) and my spare RCA cables were 2m. I also like my older cable connectors as it has a better grip across the entire connector, and the entire connector is 24K gold plated. As old as the cables are, they still look brand new. I do like how stiff these cables are. Once you get it into the shape you want to connect your gear, it stays put. I am not a fan of the connector because it is glossy and has minimal grip. However, it does connect to the gear firmly, yet still easy to remove, if necessary. The overall build quality is very nice. It's definitely been well thought out, designed, and built. Now the sound of these cables are stellar. Comparing to my older high end cable, it sounds very similar. I didn't lose the details I am used to on the CD player or any other source I connected to. I still heard solid bass, clear crisp highs, and the midrange was as it was prior to swapping cables. The soundstage did not change, and still as wide as it was. Aside from the cable connections being less grippy, there is nothing bad I can say about these cables. It didn't affect my ability to swap out cables, nor did it degrade the sound. This is an amazing RCA cable for the price of under $30.00 for a 1m cable. I also like the fact that the left and right channels can be spread fairly wide. If you need to replace those cables included with Turntables (make sure to order a separate ground cable if you're turntable doesn't have a built-in preamp), CD players, or other devices, this is the best cable for the price. I have tried enough high end cables in recording studios/mastering studios I've worked out of to know that these are of equal audio quality compared to the extremely expensive RCA cables. I don't know how to scientifically review these to determine exactly what kind of audio quality these may or may not provide. I do know however that they feel very durable at the very least, so they will hold up over time. And subjectively, they sound good to me. So I bought 3 cables from this company and they all look, sound and feel great! I have these cables in 2.0 RCA - 2.0 RCA in both the 1 and 3 foot options, as well as the 3ft. 3.5mm to 2.0 RCA to plug into phones for an audio source. I have owned them for several months now. All 3 are of the same build quality and all 3 cables have no issues, no hum/hiss/buzz. They sound really clear to me and moving the cables around to different sources and DACs will display the varied sound and imagining between sources. So I know at least I'm getting a really good true to source quality from these cables. They are pretty stiff so if you don't have a lot of space behind your equipment, these don't bend well so that's something to consider. I would buy these again and recommend them if these cables are in your price range.

I bought the SKW 0.5 meter analog RCA cables because they had great reviews and they where under $28.00. I usually use fiber optic cable as my interconnect of choice between my digital receiver and CD player. However, I just bought a new Tascam CD-200BT player that requires analog RCA cabling for the Bluetooth receiver feature to function properly. So, I decided to buy the best quality, yet affordable, cables. My research brought me to the SKW’s and I’m very happy with my choice. The construction and materials are first rate! The approximately 18” cables were a perfect length between my receiver and CD player. The connection fit was excellent, snug but not too tight. I auditioned my new Tascam CD player using the SKW’s and was very impressed with the sonic performance of these cables. I played a virgin copy of Robert Plant’s, “Carry Fire”, and the results were outstanding! I own a pair of classic ADS L810 Speakers(40 years old and still cranking!) renowned for their outstanding bass performance. I have never before heard bass response so low, clean and tight in these speakers, and I’ve always used decent interconnects. The mids and highs were also exceptional resulting in a well balanced sound and listening experience. It was like hearing a new and improved version of my L810’s. I’m sure the Tascam contributed here too, but the amazing bass response was all SKW. The only minor issue I had with these cables were they were not marked negative and positive at the plugs, so some tape labeling should be in order, especially with longer lengths. I highly recommend these cables; they’re high end performers at a low end price! If things should change over time, I will update my review.

These are quite nice cables unless you ever need to change, replace or modify your system. THen there is a problem. Now I must admit that they WARN the buyer about them being so tight, but there is absolutely no reason on this earth for them to be as tight as they are. I have had dozens of lesser cables that were secure enough so that they never came loose on their own, but these people think that your cable has to be near impossible to remove, EVEN WITH TWISTING. And don't tell me that my NAD AMP is of low quality, trying to make some excuse. Even while twisting the connector to pull it off I ended up pulling the outer shield portion of my RCA off of the amp.

I will preface this by saying I am not an audiophile. I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between various high-end cables. With that said, I do enjoy quality audio, as well as quality components in anything I purchase. These cables appear to be well constructed, they look nice, and I have no complaints on quality of the sound carried by them. I currently have the 1m cables going from my Fluance RT85 turntable to a phono preamp, and then the 0.5m set going from the phono preamp to a small class D amp. This wraps up with a set of SKW 1.5m speaker cables feeding a small pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers. Everything sounds perfect to me, and it has a noticeably more "clean" sound than the cheap set of RCA cables I was using previously. I feel as though my money was well spent, and could easily recommend these cables to anyone looking for premium-quality cables without having to empty your entire wallet to pay for them.

I’m writing this review to help others decide if skw cables are for them. First I need to give some info about my room and system in order to explain my goal. My room is located in a basement which sounds slightly dampened and laidback. If I put a speaker in that room that is also laid back(Buchardt S400)or smooth sounding it makes it even darker sounding and I keep craving little more liveliness or snappiness. I upgraded to Buchardt S400 MK2 and It improved my experience greatly. I use Parasound New classic 200 integrated amp and Topping D90SE dac. I stream music using Amazon music hd via usb dongle and usb cable. I first ordered skw usb cable and rca interconnects (cheaper version). After couple of days listening, I noticed that I was getting little more details ,snap and punch. Detail retrieval at low volume improved and my urge to crank up the volume subdued. Before SKW, I was using some DIY interconnects using pro grade cables and some generic usb cable. One review mentioned that skw cables sounded harsh. And I could see that happening if one all ready has edgy sounding system and adds those cables to the mix. But if you are like me and find your system to be laidback/smooth and want to reduce that effect and bring little zing to instruments, than definitely give skw a try. I highly recommend giving skw usb cable and interconnects try first. Than other cables if it’s your cup of tea. I liked skw usb cable so much that I also ordered 2 power cables and speaker cables. I’m not sure how much more improvement I am getting in my system by adding skw power cables and speaker cables. I would have to do much more extensive listening and comparison. However, I am satisfied with my purchase and will keep skw in my system.

They are exactly as described. Decent cable for the price and well worth the asking price.

Pour remplacer mes cables Cambridge audio rca : au début j'étais sceptique de constater une différence mais en fait la différence est grande ! Mes cables Cambridge sont bons, les cables SKW sont excellents !!! Grosses différences des aigue plus clairs ,beaucoup de détails ,des graves bien plus nets et les sonorités des instruments ou voix qui ressortent mieux !! Impression 3D et gain 1,5 db en dynamique , Incroyable ! je suis audiofile avec du bon matériels (ampli pre-ampli Rotel, lecteur CD Onkyo integra et enceinte Confluence Cantilène ) ,je redécouvre mes CD grace aux cables SKW , Merci aux ingénieurs de SKW , je revis vraiment l'écoute de mes CD !!

J'ai commandé ces câbles pour pallier un problème de parasites, mais le problème ne venait pas de là, j'ai donc demandé un retour. Cet article semble néanmoins très qualitatif.

Very good quality. Definitely increased the fidelity of my system and they look good too. As a nice little bonus they came with a velcro strap to coil up the cable if you need to. Will buy again as time goes on. 🙂
