Really pleased with this
Iโve just used this for the first time on a long journey by ferry and car. It worked really well on mains power in my hotel room (you can vary the temperature and fan speed when using mains power) and in the car (where it operates at maximum and canโt be changed). Half power is good enough to keep things cold and is perfectly quiet enough to sleep next to. I put some freezer blocks in before a 12 hour ferry crossing when the fridge would be switched off and to my amazement, they were still frozen solid at the end of the journey - so excellent insulation too. Thoroughly recommended if you need to keep drinks or food or medicines cold while travelling. Slightly short cables so you might need a 12V extension cable unless you have a 12V socket in your carโs boot. Alternatively it fits nicely in the front passenger footwell.

A great bit of kit.
I purchased it mainly for my attic man-cave, so that I don't have to trudge down to the kitchen every time I want a cold drink or snack. So far, it's been absolutely brilliant in its 240V mains mode. The fact that the temperature is adjustable is great. I use a standard fridge thermometer to keep the contents at a steady 4-7C, and only have to boost the intensity to full for an hour or so, when loading-up the cool-box. Otherwise, it works fine at about half power. At this setting, the fan noise is negligible.

Glad we bought it.
Wanted this as extra storage for boat trips. Perfect size. Kept drinks lovely and cold but it does drip internally - fine for bottles and cartons but anything in paper or cardboard outer needs placed in a zip bag! Would buy again.

Camping game changer
Very good product the noise when on full all night isnโt an issue and added some white noise for the kids so was great. Good amount to hold in terms of food wise. Definitely prime the night before bed it lasted 3 and a half hour trip in 25 degrees heat and was all still very cold at the other end. Milk constantly cold and meat was stored all week perfectly fine. Changed the whole camping experience for the better.

Very successful in our camper
We bought this as a temporary item to use before buying a fridge for the campervan. It's been so good we've not got around to buying the fridge. Keeps things very cool it's become a permanent fixture.

Only Buy if You are Aware of the Risks
Works okay as a secondary fridge plugged into the mains but plugged into the car on a very long journey it failed to keep anything chilled. Introduce two freezer blocks to get it going and the results are better. I used cat litter soakaway sheets to absorb the puddles. I still use it for journeys but the capacity is compromised by the freezer blocks and they make it difficult to stack anything without falling over. Hot spots happen between food items if they do not allow airflow and can lead to food poisoning. I have worked in enough hotel kitchens to know when food safety is compromised and bacteria rapidly multiplies to fatal limits. If you are using this to cool canned drinks it will be okay, if you wash every can before opening. Bacteria loves closed, confined, spaces that promote the environment they thrive within. Unless you are sure you are not going to kill those you serve, this product should only be used with caution for short journeys. And because it is vertical bacteria will drip upon everything below. You only need one person to have faeces on their hands or disposable gloves and you have a Petri Dish growing cultures of bacteria that will kill you. This is why fridges designed primarily for drink cans have horizontal shelving and vertical doors. It's all to do with hygiene. Even rodent infested take aways have vertical fridges!
