Excellent product. Having run armoured CAT6a cable, I found the connection that came with a crimping tool, just weren’t up to the job - the CAT6a wires were to big, to slide through the relevant holes. These CAT6a connections worked a treat. Had to use some gentle force to sit the 2 main components together but job done. Recommend you watch the video guide for ease of install. Highly recommend.

Excellent product. I have a CAT7 cable going from the house to the outhouse, buried under the garden. Unfortunately during recent building work, workmen accidentally cut it. I was looking to repair it, but unfortunately the cable is a thinner 26 AWG configuration, so incompatible with a lot of the standard CAT7 RJ45 passthrough connectors that need a crimping tool, including from VCELink, which all require 23 AWG for a reliable connection. After unsuccessful trying other options, I eventually tried these and was able to get a reliable connection on my first attempt! Having a CAT6A rated connector rather than CAT7 was not a deal-breaker for me especially because there aren’t many options for a CAT7 with 26 AWG cores. These come with easy-to-follow instructions and no tool required! Highly recommended if, like me, you are not good at crimping!

A bit bulky but easy to fit and cable works as expected- not tested with a tester but getting 2.5gbe as reported by UniFi console.

If you need to add a connector to a CAT6/6A cable in a tight spot (in my case up a ladder and in an attic crawlspace), then these are far easier than a traditional crimped connector in my opinion. To explain: you thread the green/orange pairs straight through the plastic "comb", pull down to the top of the cable. The only trick is to make sure you have oriented the comb part to then make the blue/brown pair placement easy (after a couple of tries this becomes intuitive). The blue/brown pairs "clip" in but the green/orange ones don't, so it's important to get all of them in before you cut them flush, as the blue/brown are what holds everything in place until you clamp it down and put the boot on. So, green/orange pairs to pull the pairs tight and flush to the cable housing/core, blue/brown pairs to hold all in place, then cut flush. I found that it needs quite a bit of force to get the crimp to happen, pressing on a flat surface made it easier, pliers helps if not available. Being honest, up a ladder the first time (no pliers) I used my teeth and it worked, but not a recommended method for obvious reasons. The boot slides on easy, clicks into place, and can be removed relatively easily with a small flathead screwdriver afterward, more prying needed with flathead to undo the crimp, but if you are careful you can definitely remove and re-use in a pinch. My only caveat is that the connectors are quite "long" and the release tab on the top sticks up quite far - if you need to plug into a restricted area, like the back of a wireless AP, or somewhere with a tight turn etc. then you might need another solution. I had to remove the lock on the back, trim down the "teeth", and then use tape in one such case (Unifi AP) for example. I also had to trim the release tab slightly so it was not accidentally triggered and releasing the connector. The extra length is a consequence of the tool-less design, and the release is easy to modify, so I do not dock stars, but definitely something to be aware of before purchase.

Impressed, work really well compared to some legacy fiddly components. Quality is good, easy to work with, solid no issues so far after testing and in use. Repeat purchase.

I needed to use these on some cat6a as it’s very chunky. These worked perfectly and they are very solid and durable. These grand feels very solid. I’ve since bought 4 more packs for networking my home. Good product!

Poor Quality for the price

Easy to wire up, Easy to use & works with Cat6a PE large outside Cable. I am a newbie to this stuff and i looked hard and long for some easy wire up connections which can handle a cat6a cable which is much bigger than a cat5e or a cat6 cable, anyways this item seemed to have rather mixed reviews but it defo has done the job and its doing its job on 100meters run of poe cat6a cable, i wired up now all of these connections and i bought a tester and 1st time wiring and tested 100% good. The poe equipment has been seemlessly working now for a few days and if any of these plugs ever fail i shall update this review immediatly. The only negative thing i shall say is that the little clip to keep the rj45 in the port doesnt seem to work, either that or i have done something wrong as they can easy slide in and out of a female port, but this may well be user error only i dont know for sure, but regardless im very happy. When you wire up the item, best to have some pliers handy to squeeze down the terminal fully as fingers arnt quite good enough to do it, or im weak... also best to wire it as a pass-through and just snip off the excess with some small snips as i dont think the crimper pass through tool does it but again i am a newbie so i dont know for sure.

ATTENDIBILITA' PRODOTTO -Sono conformi ai rendering dell'annuncio, che rendono davvero giustizia all'oggetto ricevuto infatti il materiale plastico trasparente del connettore ha un effetto sabbiato molto simile. - I connettori sono 4 come da descrizione. - Vengono inviati in bustine separate due a due, che sono a loro volta infilate in una busta zip. - Le misure dell'annuncio sono corrette. DESCRIZIONE PRODOTTO - Le plastiche sono adeguatamente solide per il loro compito - I contatti connettore sono placcati in oro. - I terminali a V taglia-cavo hanno molta superficie di contatto, un bonus rispetto agli RJ45. - Il PCB non ho avuto modo di estrarlo dal suo involucro (apribile ad innesto e non saldato), quindi non so dirvi se sia di buon fattura, ma le saldature appaiono di qualità, posso quindi presumere che sia in regola. - Le alte lamelle di innesto a tagliente, sono studiate appositamente per tagliare le plastiche ed accogliere il cavo su ambo i lati, sono oblique rispetto al cavo, ma purtroppo sono di "bronzo fosforato" e non placcate in oro come invece sono i contatti del connettore. - Sembra tutto di qualità, le indicazioni colorate sono state serigrafata sulla plastica, al posto dei più economici e fastidiosi adesivi, usati da altri produttori. - Il tagliente è un metodo decisamente migliore della classica punzonatura a 2-3 dentini del classico RJ45 crimpato, che su solid core di rame potrebbe spezzare il cavo per lungo. MONTAGGIO - Montarli è stato semplice "ma non troppo" - Con i Toolless non serve crimpatrice, ma servono forbicine di dimensioni ridotte atte a raggiungere e tagliare l'eccesso dei cavetti una volta posizionati nel ponticello, ho rimediato usando le pinzette taglia unghie. - Seguendo l'indicazioni serigrafata sul ponticello bianco (T568A o T568B), non potrete confondervi, ma sopratutto non avverranno spostamenti involontari dei cavetti come potrebbe succedere sui connettori RJ45 classici. - Una volta infilati i 2 verdi e i 2 arancio nei buchi indicati, i marroni e blu li potrete pinzare nella loro sede, questo vi permetterà (con un minimo di manualità) di potervi avvicinare molto alla guaina, perdendo quindi meno attorcigliatura possibile, una cosa davvero ottima visto che disattorcigliare influirebbe sulle prestazioni. - Forse colpa dei miei cavi, è servita molta, molta pressione per innestare il ponticello bianco sulle lamelle, ho usato delle pinze a pappagallo per fare pressione uniformemente su tutta la superficie e premere bene il ponticello nel suo alloggiamento, la plastica non ha subito deformazioni e la serigrafia non si è cancellata. RIUTILIZZO Il riutilizzo di questi connettori risulta possibile ma ... - A differenza di altri "toolless" a chiusura tipo sandwich, questi mostrano un innesto snap a dentino che va ad innestarsi in una linguetta "molto sottile" della cover nera. - Una volta innestato si fatica a toglierlo, facendo leva con un cacciavite nel punto di innesto si rischierebbe di rompere tale linguetta, consiglio di agire lateralmente con un cacciavite piatto piccolo. -Una volta montato ho provato a smontare completamente il connettore, non ho notato segni di utilizzo. le ritengo quindi riutilizzabili più volte. UN SOSTITUTO PER I PATCHCABLE? - Per sfruttare al massimo le prestazioni di un cavo occorre terminarlo nel modo corretto, ossia tramite keystone collegato poi al dispositivo tramite cavo patch "preassemblato di fabbrica, non fatto a mano" l'RJ45 classico è il modo peggiore per terminare un cavo di rete. - Se proprio volete fare un cavo patch, il toolless è il metodo e si attestano a livello "semi pro", sono dispositivi ibridi dotati di PCB per arginare le perdite di prestazioni, combinando i vantaggi dei keystone con la comodità del classico RJ45, ma con bassissime perdite di prestazioni rispetto al normale RJ45 crimpato. RAPPORTO QUALITÁ PREZZO Tutti i toolless costano parecchio, ne ho provati altri in passato, ma questi sono risultati davvero buoni, ed essendo più economici, direi proprio che vale la pena l'acquisto. PREGI: - Design funzionale e gradevole alla vista - Buona struttura solida non sa di economico o Cinesata (anche se è un prodotto Cinese) - Belle plastiche - Facile da installare - Molletta di rilascio è più lunga del solito e non sembra delicata come per i normali RJ45 DIFETTI: - Diventano alquanto ingombranti ma è una prerogativa di tutti i toolless. - La molletta di rilascio risulta un pò alta, su certi dispositivi può dimostrarsi difficili da estrarre una volta posizionato. - La scelta dello snap di innesto dei pezzi, potrebbe diventare controproducente per il riutilizzo. - Il dado o vitone a stringere sul cavo, ha poco filetto il ché non permette un serraggio saldo al cavo. - Lamelle taglia filo placcate in oro sarebbero maggiormente apprezzabili. CONCLUSIONI Qualche cosa ha lasciato leggermente a desiderare, nel complesso sono cose marginali che non abbassano il punteggio, è un buon prodotto, abbastanza comodo, e ben realizzato, che potrei acquistare nuovamente, senza troppe remore.
