Great replacement
My original paddle started to chip, it was white so I replaced it with this one. Works great and was a good replacement piece. It fit the 5.5 professional kitchen aid mixer

This stainless steel paddle is a replacement for the ceramic coated one that came with my KitchenAid 5 Qt. professional lift bowl mixer. The ceramic one chipped and I was not sure it didn’t get into the cookie dough so I had to discard the dough and the paddle. This stainless paddle can handle stiff dough and add ins such as nuts, coconut, chocolate chunks etc. with no worries, plus I wash it in the dishwasher. Don’t hesitate it’s well worth the money!

So close…… Don’t buy if your KA came from Sam’s Club/Costco.
Nice replacement beater attachment. I have a 6 qt Professional 600 lift stand model that I received as a gift back in 2007. It is just a “smidge” too long to not scrape the bowl. Perplexed, I double checked the models. That’s when I noticed that it will not fit Sam’s Club or some Costco models. I’m pretty certain the person who bought it for me got it at Sam’s Club. This is not noted on the Amazon product description. I hope this helps someone else.
