Buy now, thank me later! Incredible value product!
As a professional musician, I spend a huge amount of time around audio — live gigs, rehearsals, in-ear monitoring, critical listening and music production — so I can be very fussy when it comes to sound quality and comfort. I bought the Soundcore P40i earbuds after plenty of research, and after receiving them today, I’m honestly blown away. Sound-wise, fit, build quality, charging case quality, packaging and overall user experience… these are exceptional. The biggest thing for me is fit. I’ve always struggled with earbuds. I’ve owned premium earphones over the years and often find myself constantly adjusting them or feeling like they’re about to fall out. These fit perfectly straight out of the box. Secure, comfortable and easy to wear. The sound quality is outstanding for the money. Clear highs, detailed mids, punchy bass without being overbearing, and enough customisation through the app to tune them exactly how you like. They sound balanced and genuinely premium. What really surprised me was the overall quality feel. The charging/storage case feels solid and well made, the packaging gives a proper premium first impression, and the whole product feels far more expensive than it is. I’ve used AirPods Pro before and, in my personal opinion, these are every bit as good — and in several areas I actually prefer them. I know that’s a big statement, but for comfort, fit and overall value, I’d honestly choose these again without hesitation. For a fraction of the price of premium-brand alternatives, these feel like one of those rare purchases where you think: “How are these this good for the money?” One final thing — I actually found these after doing some research with ChatGPT and comparing options based on value, sound quality and reviews. It pointed me towards the P40i and I’m genuinely glad it did because these turned out to be one of those rare purchases that massively exceed expectations. Absolutely delighted with them. Easy 5 stars.

Solid earbuds
Solid earbuds with epic battery life, but know the call quality tradeoff Sound & battery: Bass hits hard (BassUp mode is great for workouts), and 60-hour total playtime is no joke—I've gone days without charging. The 10-min quick charge giving 5 hours is a lifesaver. Case stand: Actually useful, not a gimmick. Great for propping your phone for video calls or watching shows. ANC: Decent for the price—handles office noise and plane hum well, but don't expect Bose-level silence. Adaptive feature works but can be inconsistent outdoors. Call quality: This is the catch. A few people said I sounded muffled or "underwater" during calls. If you take lots of calls, this might frustrate you. Fit: Comes with 5 tip sizes—once you find the right one, they're comfy and gym-proof (IPX5). Verdict: Perfect for bass lovers, gym-goers, or anyone who hates charging. Skip if crystal-clear calls are non-negotiable. Still, at this price, it's hard to beat the feature set.

Great headphones, terrible standard ear tips
I've been used to Samsung Buds over past few years (and being very happy with them), but having lost them and not wanting to pay hundreds to potentially lose another pair plumped for a set of these p40i's. Straight off I'll say the ear tips that come with these as standard, for me, were terrible. Couldn't get them to seal properly and was constantly adjusting. I much prefer foam tips so went to order some, thinking nothing of it, but it turns out finding foam tips for these is a nightmare because of the odd oval shaped speaker shape. I did eventually manage to get a set of foam tips on with much faff and stretching, and have some actual specific ones on the way from China but felt it right to share my experiences so far. Once the foam tips were fitting it totally transformed the audio on these and I am very happy with them. Pros - incredible audio with really detailed soundstage and plenty of bass of needed (once fitted with some foam tips), plenty of room in the case for different types of tips, easy to remove the headphones from the case, I love the customisation of the touch controls that can vary from left to right so loads of on the go control, very comfortable and don't fall out at the gym, great battery life, price Vs bigger names, there is a live language translation function in the app that I haven't tried on the field yet but feel it could be a winner on my next holiday! Cons - terrible standard ear tips. Overall, despite my initial teething these are well worth the money and would definitely buy again.

A lot of quality sound for not a lot of money
If you want a set of earbuds with big bucks quality and big bucks bass but don't want to pay the big bucks then you will not go wrong with these set of earbuds from soundcore. The Soundcore p40i's come with noise cancelling as you would expect and the achieve this really really well. I had these in fast cycling on a cycle lane on a busy road and there was loads of traffic and I could not hear any of the traffic. Now for the astute amongst you, you're probably say not safe riding with noise cancelling but I was on a cycle path. if I wanted/need to be able to still hear around me it also has an ambience setting which means that you can hear what still going on around you and still enjoy the bass and and the the music that you're listening to admittedly not as clear as sharp because you've got background noise seeping in and creating that dirty sound. So what's good about them? Like I said before the sound quality is exceptional on these especially for the price. I listen to various genres from listening to classical music bolero right down to heavy deep house and garage music and everything was crystal clear that I was listening to. Whilst dealing with phone calls as well, especially, on the move I could hear the person on the other end crystal clear and they didn't even realize I was on earbuds when I asked them to give me feedback and tell me if the sound quality was good they were like yeah you're on your phone right and I was like no I'm on the earbuds. The person on the other end of the phone was very impressed. The build quality on these are way better than the P3's that I have uploaded from and the charging case has a really nice sort of rubbery feel to it. The case can also double up as a kickstand for your mobile phone. The earbuds as you would expect to be are ultra light this might actually be a little bit of a negative because they're that light you might not realize they've popped out of your ears until you've stopped hearing the sound. Connecting these to my phone via Bluetooth was an absolute breeze and I've tested the distance between my phone being sat indoors and me walking out in the garden and they do cover a large distance but remember that its going to be different for everyone's phone because of the way Bluetooth is on each person's phone. So if you're looking for quality and great sound without having to speak to your bank manager then I cannot recommend these highly enough, buy them you won't regret it.

Great price, amazing sound
I'm a big fan of soundcore products. Great price and no compromise on quality. They stands true for these earbuds, they sound so great, the battery is really good, I've got a Samsung so they connect easily by just opening the case and the phone stand feature is genius. I absolutely love them. One thing I would say is that if you are not a bass heavy person like myself, maybe you might not enjoy how they sound very much. However, they have a great soundcore app with an equaliser which allows you to set the sound profile you prefer so shouldn't much of an issue. Also the touch controls are very sensitive so you might find yourself changing the track when trying to adjust the earbuds in your ear. Again, the app allows you to tweak a few things about the controls in the app. Overall, for the price these are absolutely amazing and I would 100% recommend to anyone.

Outstanding for the money
This is a lot of earphones for the money, I really don't have anything to criticise. Battery life decent, small size, audio quality as good as many over ear headphones. Simple case design that is easy to use. The case turning into a phone stand is a useful bonus too. Active sound cancelling is reasonable for wind, I'm sure it'll be decent for aeroplane usage too. It was picked up immediately by my android phone, and an app allowed some configuration to improve sound quality further. Very similar experience to more expensive Sony options.

Just as good as the big name brands.
Bought these having now lost 2 pairs of expensive earbuds (samsung galaxy pro and bose quiet comfort). These are functionally better and sound just as good. I really like the case with its phone holder which I had disregarded when considering these but has been useful from day 1. The noise cancellation is brilliant for cutting out background noise from people talking, but not so good for continuous 'white noise' like my lawn mower. Nice app, nice quality feel of the earbuds, and they fit nice. No complaints, and a fraction of the price I've paid before.

Very nice but weak noise cancelling
Typical earbud design, nicely done. Comfortable and sound quality is good for the price. The associated app is good - customising the equalisation by a hearing test is nice and some of the features do improve sound quality a little. Not much bass but then they are only relatively cheap earbuds. Main disappointment is the noise cancelling. Initially didn't seem to work at all but AnkerDirect stepped in to help and have now got them set up well enough to get some effect. Nothing like you see with higher end earbuds (used to use QuietComfort but they died) but some effect. Beware that the tips themselves are thin and getting the right tip and fit makes a significant difference to sound quality and noise cancelling, naturally enough. With other buds I use the default "medium" tips. With these the medium tip felt fine and secure but the app's "Tip Fit Test" said they weren't sealing well enough. Had to go to the XL size and change the angle I wear them at to get a passing fit. With that the quality was much better and at least some sound cancelling effect. The Tip Fit Test is buried in the app settings menu instead of being on the main page or setup screens so easy to miss.

ANC doesnt work
ANC feature is worst as if it does not exist.

Great sound, instant connection, very comfortable
I’m really happy with the Soundcore P40i. Pairing was quick and painless, and once it’s set up it connects to my phone immediately. Take it out of the case and it just works, no waiting, no fiddling. Sound quality is excellent for the size, clear and punchy, and more than good enough for music, podcasts, and calls. I also really like the magnetic snap when putting the earbuds back in the case, it feels solid and well-designed. They sit comfortably in my ears, even for longer listening sessions, and the included different ear tip sizes are a nice touch and make it easy to get a good fit. The touch controls are simple and responsive, skipping tracks works reliably without having to tap ten times. The only small downside is that it doesn’t support multi-device connectivity, so switching between devices isn’t seamless. That said, it’s a minor nitpick compared to how well everything else works. Overall, great value, reliable, comfortable, and very easy to use. Would definitely recommend.

very decent and feature rich earbuds in this price range with proper customer support
Good earbuds especially for the price. The fit depends on your ears, my son can use them while biking. I wouldn't do that and only use them around in the house. They can connect to two devices simultaneously. meaning if you are listening to one thing on your ipad and your smartphone rings, it will take over. and vice versa. super convenient and easy to switch to your other device. very customizable through the app, which is very important to me, so I can deactivate 1 touch actions and avoid these annoying accidental touch doing anything. Very easy to use app, good sound quality and long battery life. I don't use the noise cancelation or sound tweaking option so I can't say anything on that part. Good customer service aswell. I noticed after using the buds for maybe a year. that the volume of the left bud was much lower. no idea if it was a quality issue or mishandling of my part. Via the app I opened a support case, the app has the device details so that's so much easier. A little emailing back and forth to check somethings. and then they send me 2 new buds that I could put in the old case. And perfect sound since, even now a year later. So very decent and feature rich earbuds in this price range with proper and easy to reach through the app customer support
